So school started a few weeks ago. It's going well so far. My sociology class (Juvenile Crime and Delinquency) is awesome, my teacher is the coolest. He's bald, with the slightest stubble on his head, a huge tattoo on the side of his head, and another on his arm. He's got a glass eye, a bit of a potty mouth, and he's gay. His class is never boring, that's for sure. Math is going well, now that I'm in the right class. There I was, pulling my hair our over equations I couldn't even wrap my head around, when I hear another student complaining of the same thing, and the: "Oh, you're taking this for psych pre-req? You don't have to take this, you can take 200 math." WHAT??? Woo hoo! I promptly went down to the Psychology dept to make sure, then I switched my math class, that very same hour. Much much better, even for someone as mathphobic as myself. German is... not going as well as I'd hoped. I'm not sure if it's just me who's language-challenged, but I find the teacher is going really fast. After just 4 classes, we were assigned a page-long composition to write. This is supposed to be a beginner's class for people who have no previous knowledge of the language, it seems a bit much. We also had a test on monday. After 4 classes. I'm pretty sure I failed. I need that 3.0 gpa, and I'm not sure to get it with this class...
In health news, I've been keeping myself out of the hospital, so that's good. The pills that my doctor prescribed for my Lupus seem to be doing their job, yay! I still get little flare ups from time to time, my arms will get stiff, or my fingers will swell up, but nothing even half as bad as it was when I went to see her the first few times. I'm off the Prednisone, which is good. Taking corticosteroids for too long is definitely not good. I've still got about 3 weeks of meds for my back, then all I'll have left is my Plaquenil, which I'm pretty much stuck with for the rest of my life. Unless they find a cure.
In baby news, Francois had the operation on his balls done. He had an obstruction in his sperm tubey thing (there's a technical term for ya) so they made a tiny hole, and unblocked it. He's got another appointment in a month to see if it worked, then we should be green lights go for babies. It'll be about 2 or 3 months before the new sperm is ready to squirt, so we'll just keep practicing till it's ready, hehe.
In wedding news... slightly overwhelmed, already. I took a look at a wedding planning site, and the sheer amount of things to be done is daunting. And been feeling a bit nostalgic through all this wedding planning. There was someone who was supposed to be there, squeeing with me every step of the way... But anyways, I've slowly started putting a guest list together, I'll look into getting the invitations done up. We've decided to have the wedding in Quebec City, at Francois' parents place. The yard is simply too stunning to pass up, and they're making it even nicer, building a new deck and such. We'll put up canapes in case of rain, but rain or shine, we're having the wedding outside. Wouldn't that be classic though, a goth wedding in the rain...
