Episode One: Means of mass-communication.
When I was a little younger than I am now, I tried to write a couple of short stories. Some of them were for me, others were for my teacher(who was a bitch, but still had to give me A). When you write something on your own, you face the problem of 'characters description'. You can of course create somebody entirely on your own, but there is a high possibility that you'll: exaggerate, create a Mary-Sue, or simply create a character that is so over-used, almost like Little Red Ridding Hood.
Where we can find inspiration?
Personally, I like trams, buses and train stations.
Like today. I saw a nice looking, old lady. She was wearing blue jeans and sport-type jacket. Pretty spory for an (around) 80 years old! And she was wearing really cute, elegant hat, which was surrounded by wide, corolful scarf! She look almost like a witch from Harry Potter! I loved it~!
A also remember some guy I saw in Warszawa Centralna (as I almost lived there this summer). He had this elegant, black coat and sport pants with high boots, very feminine type. And that artistic hat...
Maybe it's time to start believing in Hogwarts?
