Let's talk about the Devil, namely in the form of "Two-Bite Cinnamon Rolls."
Seemingly small and harmfull, their exquisite tub-like container ensures their constant state of puffy freshness and tantalizes you to have just one more, after all it's just two bites....trickery!
The tub is almost gone and I am left wanting more because my brain says I can never be full of a mere two bites.
Delicious nuisance, be gone from my gullet!
I am overjoyed. My wonderful classmate who is getting her Ph.D. had her husband who is apparently a genius of sorts edit our group paper (ugh group paper I know, I hate group anything) without telling him which of us wrote what. He didn't touch anything I wrote but scribbled and cut all of their work! She said she thought I was a wonderful writer and asked if I would edit her dissertation, and I almost died :-) I write like crap on here because I'm usually typing 60 mph because I only have a little time, but my school work is much better, I promise. Thanks Ann!!
She and I had Chili's and Shiners in the basement of the UC yesterday after class, it was really nice to talk to someone who has led such an interesting, long life but never stops doing things that make her happy (like running away from Oklahoma after she didn't like undergrad to be on Broadway). Did I mention she's over 50? I love meeting cool people in class. I also love being mean to morons, keeps my blood flowing.
I have decided to stop being so mean about Chili's because what I ordered was genuinely really good. Am I going soft?! I got this Buffalo Chicken Salad that was bigger than my torso and far more delicious, it was really, really good. Probably a bit pricey for $7, but honestly all salad dishes are overpriced, so I shouldn't complain. I'll try out some other stuff there and see how well it goes, I hope I'm not disappointed. I feel sorry for dry campuses, having a fully stocked bar makes my insides warm.
My song pick for today is Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" which he wrote as a tribute to Aisha, his new born daughter. It must be amazing to be the son or daughter of such talent peopled, like Julian Lennon for whom the song "Hey, Jude" was written for. I love Stevie, I am going to be heartbroken when he leaves.
