Alive and kicking.
I received a nudge from woman_of_ about a week ago, which made me realize exactly how long it's been since this journal has seen any activity - a whopping three months.
My AWOL status started out innocently enough with a few computer problems, which was nothing new since me and technology rarely see eye to eye for long periods of time anyway. However, sparing you the details, me and my computer cut off all communication with each other for a little over a month. Or rather, it decided to present me with a few blue screens of death before virtually, you know, dying. I had no say in the matter.
After attempting to have it fixed numerous times, the experts determined that there was no hope for revival, so I ended up having to buy a set of entirely new parts for the tower. Needless to say, I lost all of my files. I'm still not over that part because...well, I had a lot of them. But, as Pam Tillis says, there's no use crying over spilled perfume. Or lost files.
So, just in case you were curious, that explains the first six weeks of my disappearance. It also explains why, for the people who have asked, I won't be able to re-upload any of my screencaps. They went poof along with everything else. I'm sorry. =(
The other, more recent six weeks? Believe it or not, I've actually been around a bit when time permits, though I've been laying low and keeping quiet. I haven't done any catching up on journals or fic, though, so I'm going to have to pencil in some serious LJ time, and soon.
To sum this post up: I'm well and I hope you're all well, too.
