Mother of fuckers
We, our artist group, has YET to receive a proof of our next book, which needs to be confirmed by us to the printer as good BEFORE the full run of prints is made.
We, our artist group, has YET to receive a confirmation on our registration and confirmation on a table for artists alley. That shit was sent out MONTHS ago, along with them cashing our check.
Why are these fan driven organizations FUCKING their biggest fans? Why is it, that they provide these opportunities for lesser known groups and artists to hawk their wares, make a buck or two, and get the PR... and they just decide to FUCK them instead? This is the second convention that has so far given us this run around so far. I am trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but everything according to the website says we may be to late (even though we sent all this out 4 months prior to the convention... FOUR MONTHS without any replies).
We're not the greatest group in the world. We work around some fucking amazing work schedules to pump out what we do. We're still learning, and we're never going to stop learning. But right now, all I feel like I'm learning is that the people that try to help you the most are going to be the first to stab in the back and take your money.
The next 8 months I have put aside to dedicate to this group. If we loose conventions as realistic outlet to express our passion for this, well we're just going to have to start over aren't we?
