Nice things 1: Happy Birthday
ice_elf, hope you have a wonderful day.
Nice things 2: A very big thank you to
kthrn; the Kimi stamps arrived yesterday and are very shiny - go the Finnish Postal Service \o/. I'm particularly impressed with the newspaper picture you wrapped it in *points to miniature version in icon* (Please let me know how you want me to reimburse you, or whether you'd prefer me to send you something from old London town).
Nice things 3: I'm off out tonight with
princess_s; I have a sneaky feeling vast amounts of vodka may be involved!
Silly things:
I love Fernando to pieces but really
his opinion on the Hamilton penalty at Spa is about as biased as it's possible to get and no one is going to take it seriously. Shut up pookie, it only makes you sound petty.
My personal opinion on the whole thing is as follows:
Watching the race, I never, through out those couple of laps before Kimi crashed out, thought twat had done anything to gain an advantage. Therefore I don't think the penalty is fair and is another example of the FIA's war on McLaren *pets uncle Ron*. However, as I'm about as fair-minded as Fernando when it comes to the twat, I'm not that upset he's had points taken from him in the championship battle. Because I really don't care which way this plays out, I'm taking a neutral view when I'm reading all the outrage on the various websites and my blood pressure is nice and stable, thank you very much.
I am rather keen to see how much bluster the combined forces of ITV's commentary team are going to muster this weekend. I think I can safely bet on a full hour of Steve Rider/James Allen moaning on about it on Saturday pre-quali and a few coronaries happening when the lot of them go into indignation over-drive - lol!
