i answered the phone at work a few minutes ago:

guy on phone (gop): can i speak to the manager?
me: the manager isn't available. are you interested in opening an account?
gop: no, i'm interested in entering the industry
me: (thinks for a second then realizes he's looking for a job) ah. well, the manager is not here right now... (i see my boss coming back) give me one second please.

i put him on hold 'cause i see my boss coming back and tell him about the caller. my boss tells me, well, i don't have time right now (it's an unsolicited call out of the blue, we have no open positions) please ask him to email us his resume.

me: sorry about the wait. the manager is away from the desk. what you can do is email us your resume...
gop: (interrupting) no, i don't do resumes (in a very "i'm above that sort of thing" type of voice).
me: um. ok... well, then, you'll have to call back later.
gop: what is the manager's name?
me: *gives my boss' name*
gop: alright, thanks.
me: bye

i told my boss and he answered: well then, that really makes me want to work with the guy. (and he makes a rude gesture)
