well...

well, i've been pretty busy with chicago's can't stop the serenity - and now that it's over, i'm almost done with the post settlement.  i've been working on getting all the details included on our google spreadsheet and i'm even adding all the auction items with their winning bids.  hopefully, i'll have the final tally by this weekend or early next week.  i seem to have a little more cash than what i'm accounting for, so i need to see what i'm missing to include. plus, i bought a couple of plastic bins to store the left over merchandise in and i already organized that!  go me! instead of letting it lay for a month or so...

we have a (i hope) slight problem with a couple of the auction payments.  see, my taking various payments, all within an hour, some that were not paypal accounts - caused paypal to review the transactions.  so now i have to wait for the buyers to respond so that paypal can release the funds.  i now know that we should apply for a "virtual terminal" a week or so before the event.  that would have prevented this problem - also, it would be much easier to process payments.

i was pretty laid back this year about csts, maybe a little too much.  luckily the rest of group of us who throw this shindig are really great and proactive the event really turned out to be fantastic!

i ended up deciding to see how many hats i could knit within the last 2 weeks before the event.  i was able to squeeze in 4 adult hats and 1 child hat (1 for our pre-show mini-shindig prize basket, 2 for the costume contest and the child one for our silent auction).

i really had fun and think it was a great event!  i walked around the theater as dr. horrible played and could hear a lot of people singing - which was awesome!

next up, finishing up my travel plans for this year's browncoat ball in portland, or and also, working on putting out the call for bids for next year's bcb.

plus i need to finish up a knitting project i put on hold - a gift for my mom - and i really want to finish it before my parents go back to mexico for a month again.

i'm super excited that i got my season 4 supernatural dvds! i'm a bit disapointed in the extras. there is commentary on only about 3 or 4 eps.  there are deleted and extended scenes on a few episodes, but i havne't checked 'em out yet to see if they are really something to be excited about. the gag reel is awesome and cracked me up!

gotta catch up with the last 3 eps of leverage.  i've been really enjoying the season.

i'm looking forward to supernatural (of course) and to new show glee and cautiously looking forward to vampire diaries (well, really the only reasons are because ian somerhalder(sp?) is in it, plus even the ads are teasing about a threesome)

there's been some drama in my life, although it's not my own drama.

i'm still obsessed with reading j2 au fanfic (spn_j2_bigbang was a great source as well as a rec page i've been going through pretty thoroughly) and have read so much that i haven't needed to take any books out of the library! although i did buy the new rob thurman (robgoodfella ) book (of the cal leandros series) if you like supernatural, you'd like her books. supernatural sounds a lot like her books - and i'm pretty sure she started the book series before supernatural aired. i'm also looking forward to buying her new book - trick of the light - a new series she started.
