June 15, 2009 -
Neil Patrick Harris, who has spent the last few years reminding us how awesome he is, will be voicing a new villain on
Batman: The Brave and the Bold, reports
TVGuideMagazine.com - one that will call upon his singing abilities. Harris has plenty of experience in Broadway musicals, and many learned of his musical talent with his role as the title character in Joss Whedon's
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.
Harris is voicing a newly created villain called The Music Meister - described as an amalgamation of various DC Comics villains. Producer
James Tucker tells TVGuideMagazine.com that Harris will be on, "a big obnoxious, Broadway-type musical" episode of the light-hearted Brave and the Bold, playing a character who "has the power to create song wherever he goes, and he's trying to dominate the world." Tucker goes on to admit to TVGuideMagazine.com that, "the plot itself is just the framework, an excuse to have everybody sing!" Five original songs have been written for the episode, called "Mayhem of the Music Meister!"
Tucker has a lot of praise for Harris, saying the episode, "feels polished because of his vocals. And not just his singing, but his acting as the character, too. He nailed it. I showed him some drawings [of the character] and he got it instantly."
"Mayhem of the Music Meister" will air as part of
Season 2 of Batman: The Brave and the Bold, sometime this fall.

BEST EPISODE/Television
"Daybreak, Part 2," Battlestar Galactica
"The Monster at the End of this Book," Supernatural
"The Oath," Battlestar Galactica
"Omega," Dollhouse
"Turn Left," Doctor Who
this category looks like a tough choice. i haven't seen the bg eps, nor the dollhouse (which i've heard is fantastic), but omg turn left was awesome and made me cry. the monster at the end of this book was really cool (in retrospect).
