gip and the state of my eyes...
gip!! i'm sure some of you have seen my new icon around lj. i finally ganked it 'cause i love it. it's by arcessita.
on to my eyes... so, if y'all recall, i have an eye callus on one of my eyes. i did do the treatment, drops, for the 2 weeks and it seemed to go away. a few days after i stopped the treatment, there it was again, like it never went away.
so, after searching the web for a while, i found that it doesn't seem to be vision threatening (unless it starts to spread) and even if surgically removed, can recurr. so basically, i've just learned to ignore it. but just recently, i feel like i'm developing one on my right eye too. so, i have finally made an appointment to see a medical eye doctor to see what can be done.
the other reason i'm seeing this doctor is to determine whether i would be a good candidate to have lasik eye surgery to correct my vision. my insurance has a $3,600 one time allowance specifically for this type of procedure so i think i'll take advantage of the opportunity. it would be awesome to finally be able to wear sunglasses!
