Starting them young
Skumlove had an early show tonight at the Whisky. They were called a few days ago to fill in for a band that had cancelled. Since they had the 8pm slot we figured we'd take the kids.
Meen got all glammed up in her Skumlove shirt and I loaned her my skull headband. Dman wore his devil baby tee and his black converse. I put his hair up in the hawk. They were both adorable.
We stopped by the Rainbow before the show and had some pizza. Then we trecked down to the Whisky and I put earplugs in the kids ears. Meen opted to watch the show from in front of the stage and I had Dman upstairs with me. It was so fun to see the kids reactions. Meen threw the metal fingers more times than I could count and Dman LOVED it. The first few songs he enjoyed watching the lights, then he pointed out Dada along with saying it.
I have taught him how to sign "more" when he wants something more...More food, drink, etc. As the show ended and the music stopped Dman started signing "MORE...MORE" It was the cutest!
As I sit here now with the kids tucked into bed, I realize how frigging tired I am! I'm feeling so old. I think I'm ready to pass on the nightlife to the next generation.
