Ok, I must confess something to you. From my old-timer understanding of slash, this lovely little installment does not qualify for the label seeing as there was no... kissing or sex involved, although it is clear Nate and Eliot have some kind of a more friendly relationship than just coworkers. The lead-up to Eliot being in Nate's bed would be the slash... I was all set of a hot and steamy love scene and got nightmares. That'll teach me to read summaries.

Moving on... Having just re-read Expert to be sure, when did Nathan talk to the girl? They reference somethings they've done for the case but you haven't written out, which you don't have do if you supply enough information; just as a reader, I'd like to know what's going on. Did Nate meet with her? What did she have to say? Would she even mention the Agency...? Eliot says she trusts Nate--what does that mean? Why does she trust him?

I do like your consistent characterization of Eliot and Nathan. Eliot is wounded and stunted and that always comes through and he tries every time for it not to bother him. As Sophie noticed in Expert, his shut-down face is the reason no one catches him lying. Much. He's good at flicking the switch. You do a very good job showing it. Your Nathan is fairly consistent with the show in the sense that he always has the right thing to say or he doesn't talk he waits for the opportune moment. Kuddos for characterization. Now I just want some description and exposition and some more installments, cause I want to know where this goes.

My understanding of slash is that if there are two guys explicitly in a relationship, that's slash. (And actually, they haven't had sex yet. Eliot isn't going to let his guard down THAT quickly. This will be mentioned in the next part... But Eliot's staying with Nate because of "Shattered", and Nate lives in a tiny apartment, and Eliot is annoyed enough with Nate trying to take care of him that he won't let Nate stay on the couch. Thus, they are staying in the same bed. I will try to explain that in the story somewhere.) Sadly, though, my muse is much more of an angst whore than a sex fiend. Maybe she'll get somewhere soon. I know one scene she has planned involving a kiss, at least...

Nathan spoke to the girl when she was hiring the Leverage team, à la (I think it was Corporal) Perry. She trusts him more than she does Eliot, at least. And I'm not telling you why... just yet. :P Although I'm not sure what you mean when you say "They reference somethings they've done for the case but you haven't written out". When did I do that? *is very oblivious to what she writes and implies*

So glad you like it!
