Part 11

Takuro had no idea what was going on now and what he had got himself into. Or in particularly, what had Jun had gotten him into.
For all the years Takuro had known the blonde vampire, he had never seen the older one done something like *this*.
The older vampire had phoned suddenly earlier tonight and asked him to drive to a block nearby to collect him, claiming that he needed some help. Jun calling him for help itself was abnormal enough, so out of curiosity the younger vampire went down and drove to where Jun’d informed him to go. It was still raining when he reached the destination. He stopped the car as he saw the petty figure under the shadow of a building, sheltering from the rain beneath an eaves, right where Jun had said himself would be.
“Yo, Takuro.” Jun had greeted him when he closely. “You’re so late…I’m so cold out here.”
“You should be grateful that I’m here at all…” Takuro shrugged, ignoring Jun’s remark. “ What’s up, old man?”
The blonde frowned, pouting. “I’m not old at all, you jerk.”
“No need lying to yourself, man .And what do you want this time?”
“Oh, you reminded me…ne Takuro I need a favor from you…” upon speaking the older vampire pointed a finger to the ground nearby. At first Takuro couldn’t see clearly what Jun was pointing at but within seconds, he saw it.
It was a human figure sat on the ground with his back leaning against the wall, nearing where Jun stood.

“I’d love to have you drive me home Takuro, please?”

So, the next Takuro knew, Jun picked up the unconscious man on the ground single-handly and walked toward Takuro’s car. The latter followed him closely and caught a look on Jun’s captive but found he was only an ordinary looking young man, almost uninteresting to Takuro’s liking. The younger vampire had an impression that Jun fancied beautiful boys and girls only. Maybe he was wrong, or maybe Jun had changed his taste, neither he couldn’t tell.
“Thank for the ride, Takuro-chan.” Jun had thanked him when they pulled off the street.
“You’re welcome.” Takuro had replied dryly. But something else was in his mind. Damn he couldn’t believe it. Jun just had to drag him out to the cold night so he could offer the blonde vampire a fucking ride! Damn the Old Ones, all of them were troublesome as hell.
“Because it’s raining all along, even me would get soaked in the rain if I’m to go back on my own, you idiot.” Jun’s voice broke his train of thought unexpectedly.
Stunned, Takuro had gazed at Jun in disbelief. How come he…
It was when he realized Jun had captured pieces of his thoughts, catching him completely off guard.
“Stop spying my thoughts!” He almost shout, quickly walling up his mind in defend. Goodness! Did this asshole had to use his Skill all the time and did whatever he pleased to mess with everyone whom he considered was weaker than him, simply because he could?
“Then you people should really watch out what you are thinking when I’m around, Takuro-*chan*…”

at that moment, Takuro felt like kicking the other vampire out of his car, but within the next second he decided against this stupid idea.

For the rest of their journey, both of the vampires remained silence.

Now he was driving, with Jun sitting next to him on the passenger seat, and the unconscious man at his back seat. Driving…

To Jun’s house.

At that point Takuro found his thoughts lingering again.

Woa, it never happened before as far as Takuro’s knowledge when it came to the older vampire. Since when had he developed the habbit to take his preys back to his own house?
Well…some of the other vampires did, but not him nor did Jun…not feistiest proud good old vampire Jun…and it made Takuro curious.
And when Jun *did* take his prey home, it could mean one thing, Takuro was certain…
He couldn’t help stealing a look on the unconscious form on the back seat with pity, knowing that this poor guy, whoever he might be, whatever he had done to invoke Jun into taking him back home with him, definitely would not see the sun rise again tomorrow…

“What are you going to do to this kid actually?” Finally, unable to keep himself impassive, as he stopped his car Takuro uttered the question to the older vampire, who was about to open the door and leave. By then the rain had stopped eventually, they were surrounding by silence.
“None of your business, Takuro…” but Jun only response to his question with a smirk, as he carried his prey off of the back seat. “Expect you are telling me you also want to come home with me, *stay here* and watch when I’m having fun…” then he lowered his sight to look at the sleeping form in his arms, to Takuro surprise, in a almost gentle manner. “…with him.”

“No thank!” Takuro declined immediately, shaking his head. He pulled off again as soon as Jun closed the door. Driving away from Jun’s house, he did not need any other hint from the blonde vampire to know that he wouldn’t want to find out what was going to happen to Jun’s victim.

It was such a fine evening, the night was still young…and Takuro had chose to follow Jun’s advice, minding his own business to keep his peace of mind.
Because while monsters and beasts went out for hunt in the dark, so many things could happen at a night like this that you would rather not know…

to be continued...
