Now that I think about it. Why was there a giant chicken in the dungeons?

((Giant chicken is cockatrice from FF8~))

Kamui-kun, you fell into a dungeon? Like Subaru-san? Oh no... Are you two all right?

We fell in together. Into some sort of maze and were separated for a while.

We're all right now.

This is the second time Subaru-san has been trapped in a dungeon... How did you two fall in? *looks worried*

We were out shopping, we took the dogs along then one of them ran off into one of the alleyways. I went after it then just started falling all of a sudden. I guess Subaru came after me and fell in to.

The alleyway again, huh? I'd better stay the heck away from those... Oh, did your dogs fall into the dungeon too?

Yes, that would be a good idea. No, they didn't.

What kind of monsters did you see down there, Kamui-kun? I wonder if they were as horrible as the monsters I've fought on the islands... *shudders slightly*

Hm... there were some traps, like the floor crumbling into a pit filled with spikes and arrows shooting out of walls. We were in a maze so the passages were very narrow. We fought... 3 monsters. There was one with guns that shot some kind of infected bullets. There was a fireball that kept growing bigger each time you hit it, I eventually managed to make it crash into the gun monster and they exploded.

The last one was a giant chicken with wings on its head rather than neck and a thick serpent tail. It attacked with electricity.

Wow, so not only monsters are down there, but traps too? That sounds really dangerous! Who in the world would put those things around? I wonder if Stella knows anything about it...

Those monsters sound completely different from the ones I've seen on the island. A monster fighting with a gun, and an exploding one... how strange, huh?

...A giant chicken? *blinks in surprise* Really...?

What did you see on the island?

Yes, a giant chicken. It would have been most humiliating to have been defeated by it.

Mmm, well... The first time Gaara-sensei and I went to an island, we came across these two stone monsters that could fly... They had really strong defenses, and my sensei wanted us to retreat because he was afraid I'd get hurt in the battle... His sand is very strong, but he could only concentrate on one monster at a time, and when I tried to get rid of the other one, I almost got pulled right into the air...! *shakes her head at the memory*

*giggles lightly* Well, if you ever see it again, maybe you can kill the chicken and bring it back as food for your dog...

Stone monsters? You mean gargoyles?

But it's meat might not be safe to eat.

Is that what they're called? We don't have any of those where I come from. They were made of stone and looked like ordinary statues... until they came to life and suddenly attacked us.

You could be right about that... Anyway, the chicken here in Venetia tastes just fine. *smiles*

Yeah, that's why they're called. Subaru fought with one. It's eyes are it's weakness. Subaru hit its eyes and it fell apart.

The one in the dungeon was not normal though.

Really? Their eyes? *looks very happy to hear that information* Thank you, Kamui-kun! I'll definitely remember that for next time...

I guess not, since chickens don't usually attack people... Was it very big, Kamui-kun? Like, as tall as you or Subaru-san?

Good.

Taller and bigger.
