Second, I must list 5 reasons why I am a dork.
1. I am a music dork. Maybe I'm not quite the same kind of music dork as Amanda, but I'd say I'm fairly close. I write the most passionate reviews of bands and their songs, react to music in unusual ways (usually a trace level of excitement), I use music as SOUNDTRACKS for my writings and roleplaying games (another dorky aspect), and it is constantly playing in my head. I cannot work well without music, so I installed an ipod in my brain. Don't question it; you know it's true.
2. I roleplay. That signifies me as a dork in anyone's book. I run games and play in them. I put a great deal of thought into all of my characters and sometimes even end up writing short stories about them. In the case of one character, Lygia Stanforth, I wrote a book about her. If that isn't dorky, I don't know what is.
3. Not as bad as I once was, but I am still a video game dork to some extent. I pick up on them quickly and master them in a short amount of time. I extoll the finest of console video games, such as Planescape: Torment, Disgaea and Suikoden at every opportunity. There are nights when I become immersed in World of Warcraft, too, but they aren't entirely too common.
4. You should see the levels I go to in order to make fun of 1337speak. In my effort to get cheap laughs out of the dorkiest dialect in the world, I have become a dork. ROFL WTF!!1!1 I R T3H DE-1337'D!!1!!?!!1111one
5. I am a vocabulary dork. I read the dictionary for fun. I love words. I have a plethora of words at my disposal. Whenever I learn a new word, I am filled with a sense of glee.
I think that, just because I am spiteful, five other dorks on LJ should do this. Dreamerdown, Kieranwolf, Frosty_Smash, NamasteAndrogne and Chainkill are the biggest dorks I know, so they should inform us why they are worthy of such a title.
