The Perfect Daughter

I know i'm not perfect
so why even try
i never reach the bar
that you've set so high

You say that you love me
i've seen all the shows
I'm your little girl
but no one ever knows.

I used to come first
I was the one
I was what mattered
now i'm all alone.

I'm not a daughter
I'm not even here
only when the anger hits
is when i appear.

your not perfect
why didn't i see
when you lied to me
i still believe.

all my friends have freedom
yet here i sit
locked away forever
in the prison you built.

I can't live your dreams
I can't be like you
i don't do what you did
i'm better then you.

i'm better then you
i always have been
when will you let go
and let me live.

Free from the guilt
you made me see
i'm a good girl
i always will be.

something i found that i forgot i wrote.

tell me what you think and if you like it feel free to go to Poetry.com and type in MEAGEN CROWDUS and read a few more.

just a warning, they can be a bit depressing.

well, i am off to be soon, i can't stay awake much longer waiting for eric to get home.
