Went to see Spider-Man 3 yesterday at Milton Keynes. First off, the cinema was ace. They have 2 screens which are 'delux' - this consists of smaller room with fewer seats which are more spread part than normal and with mega comfy, reclining seats! There is a also a private bar that you can go in before entering the screen. Needless to say we got tickets for this as Spider-Man 3 was being shown in the delux screens and it was my best cinema experience in ages, as far as comfort and lack of annoying punters...film was sh*t!

I wouldn't say the 2 previous Spider-Man films were favourites of mine but I enjoyed them, 2 more than 1. This 3rd installment was overly long, the characters were unlikeable and the plot was, well, all over the place.

The effects were good, especially Sandman - just a pity his character was so wishy washy, The biggest crime was Venom, who made a very late appearance onl to be wiped out in mere minutes.

Peter Parker was laughable, especially in his 'evil'phase, and as much as I like Kirsten Dunst, I found her portayal of Mary Jane to be p*ss poor to the point where I didn't care if she wasn't saved, in fact if her character died it would have been the most interesting thing she'd done in the film.

I was so looking forward to this after the hype and advertising but it disappointed, big time. It's doing major business at the box office, crushing Pirates of the Caribbean 2's 2006 records which is a travesty. Speaking of POTC, the trailer for At World's End was the best bit about the whole on-scren experience, can't wait for that. We have booked tickets for At World's End at the same delux screen for the 24th - can' wait, the trailer alone (I know they show good bits, but what the hell) is better than Spider-Man 3,

It happened to be Collectormania at the Milton Keynes at 'The Centre' with tons of film, TV and comic book memrobilia on sale, as well as people doing signings. I was temoted to queue up and meet Ray Park (Darth Maul) but I didn't have my camera - he'll be at Celebration should I have the urge. I saw the guy who played Billy in Gremlins and he still looks the same age as he did in the films! Amazingly I didn't buy anything, though I wanted the 18" Mickey Mouse Jedi Statue though at £170 it was a bit pricey!
