What in the hell was she thinking? I mean, I'm all for getting the enemy drunk to get information out of them, but was that the plan? No. She went out and got potential alcohol poisoning with Ryan to thank him. Thank him for what? The Powers sent her the vision about the urn, not that we found anything out about it before I-- Dammit. Wes is gonna ( Read more... )

"I've got muffins! Hot out of the ovens...Did you know you have a huge kitchen downstairs?"
Andrew became aware of the tension in the room he had just entered.
"Oookkaayyy.... I'll just leave these here then." It was time for a stratigic withdrawl. "Don't want the next batch to burn...."

The color drained out of Cordy's face when she heard the message. She whirled around and strode to the weapons cabinet. "We're not leaving to go get him right now why?" she asked, wondering why they weren't gone already. She looked at them when no one moved right away. "Need an invitation or something? We knew who had him, and he said the lawyers...let's go! Come on!"

Melaka got up off the counter and walked over to Andrew, she patted him on the head and smiled slightly before joining Cordelia at the weapons cabinet. Collecting her favourite antiques, "hate ta say it, but doncha think they might've, I dunno, say... stepped up the security some since our las' visit?"

"That's where I come in," A familiar voice called from the main entrance. There stood Kennedy, bruised from her fight earlier with Faith but still standing. A single bag slung over her shoulder and the cast now long gone from her left arm. "Who better to help you than someone who worked there?"

Angel joined them at the weapons cabinet, choosing his favorite sword as well as a number of smaller items. "Of course, there is the small problem that we still don't know where the hell they're holding him," he said. He glanced at Kennedy, "Unless you've been holding out on us. Any ideas where they'd put him?"

Cordy looked over at Kennedy. "If you can do it, get it done." And if she does well, we'll discuss compensation. Which may include being let back here, or something. Cordy didn't know. "Once Gunn's back home and safe, then...we'll talk. Something I don't know, I just want to get the hell going."

"Right." Kennedy nodded and tossed her bag aside, she looked at Angel and shrugged, "Work for Wolfram and Hart for over a year, you learn all the nooks. You're going to have to keep behind me on this. We need a getaway car, and someone to man the sewers under the building. I'm hoping my clearance is still valid, so I'll be walking in the front door."

She looked pointedly at Cordelia, "Questions?"

Angel put a hand ever so lightly on Cordy's shoulder, mindful that the last they'd poken they'd pretty well been screaming at each other. "Melaka has a point, they may have stepped up security--fixed the vampire detectors. A plan might be a good idea--in the absence of a vision of a big arrow saying 'This way to Gunn'. I'm just saying." He glanced again at Kennedy, wondering if she had anything useful to impart.

Kennedy took a step back, but kept her defiant stance. "I know where he is. I can get to him. Unless you want Chuck to go in the incinerator, or you have a better idea? I'm all ears."

"I don't have one. Lead the way." Cordy said, willing to put faith in Kennedy if it got her what she wanted. And if the girl proved herself, then all the better. Lorne had said that she might be alright. So despite the fact that they were oil and water, if it got Gunn back...

Angel gave Kennedy a cold smile. "Well, there we go, you do know. I'm sure it was just the drugs in your system that kept you from remembering earlier, right, Kennedy? You weren't keeping it from us on purpose." He turned toward the door. "By all means, let's go."

"Not my brightest moment," Kennedy replied in answer to Angel's remark and began leading the others out of the building and down the street.
