I've recently had request from two very nice people to allow translations of my stories into their language. Therefore, there is now a Russian translation of
Cupid available (provided by kittywestwood). And, fresh off the press there is a Chinese translation of
The Journey by MurmurerZ.
My blanket statement allowing further transformation is still up, so asking is actually not required. But of course it's nice to know about it (and I really like the fact that you can link to those stories on AO3 very elegantly).
Speaking of Cupid: There was a comment on AO3 asking for a continuation. I generally don't take those overly seriously. I've had people ask for sequels to Hope Lost, Hope Regained, Passing Through, The Road Taken and even Searchers & Lovers & Leavers. If a story is finished in my head, I won't be tempted - Passing Through and Searchers & Lovers & Leavers are two such instances. The twist of both stories is the open ending. I'd be stepping on my own toes if I wrote a sequel for such a story. Anyway, I didn't plan on writing a continuation for Cupid, but I didn't totally disregard the idea thinking that maybe another
Flash Fiction Friday prompt would come along that might tempt me. I didn't quite happen that way, because it was the
Fellowship of the fics Summer Stories 2024 prompts list that got the ball rolling. The prompts looked inspiring, so I ploughed ahead and wrote four (fixed length) ficlets for four of the prompts to continue the story of Cupid. The four ficlets will post on Mondays and I'll put them in an open series. Theoretically, the story resolves after the fourth ficlet, but let's not close that door. Maybe I'll write more in this 'verse in the future. You never know. Feel free to guess for which prompts I wrote (hint: I chose one from each week).
