Brian and I haven't spoken much since the break up in November. He's texted me a few times expressing interest in seeing me to give me my Christmas present and I've been kind of like, "Okay, maybe later." I'll occasionally get random messages from him like, "Just so you know, you can always talk to me." The one time I didn't respond, he texted me a couple days later with, "Are you okay?" Maybe he thinks that the only reason I wouldn't talk to him was if I was dead or something. I don't know.
So last night, right as I'm getting off work, he shows up. When we dated, I worked overnights on weekends pretty consistently, so I'm guessing he thought I was just getting on. He said he was just passing by, but I just find it kind of weird that he was "just passing by" right at shift change. He was all bright and chipper and wanting to talk and give me my present. I was like, "Why are you giving me a present? You're not supposed to give presents to your ex-girlfriend." His response was basically, "Well, I don't have it with me right now, I just want to give it to you." Totally ignoring the ex-girlfriend bit.
So I begged off pretty quickly (I had stuff to do, honestly) and called my dad to tell him. My dad let me know that Brian had emailed him recently to ask if I'm okay and if I'd gotten his messages.
I'm really hoping Brian doesn't realize how creepy and stalker-ish he's being. If he shows up at my house, I'm going to report him to his pastor or something. I emailed him today asking him not to come by my work anymore since we have rules about visitors, but I'm still kind of freaked out. His friend Tommy called me this morning (first time in a while) and I was afraid to answer the phone because I thought it might be Brian using Tommy's phone. Oy.
