New baby

As you may remember, our dog Kesha died about 2 years ago over Labor Day weekend. Earlier this year, we saw our vet and said we were ready for a new dog. (Actually, Marlin has been ready for a while. I wasn't sure I wanted another dog after one that was practically perfect.) We got a call yesterday from Dr Britt and she had just seen a couple with some Shiba Inu puppies, the breed we had decided was the best balance for us. Today, we went to West County and saw the puppies. We really wanted another girl and they only had one girl, a pretty cream-colored sweetie. So now we have a six-week-old Shiba Inu named Josei-kuma, Japanese for Lady Bear. Josei for short. (We pronounce it Joe-say, though I'm not sure it's correctly Japanese.)
