Originally uploaded by Steve KluthWe had to put down Kesha today. She had shut the door to the bedroom and was hiding. She knew she was going. Marlin found her and we rushed her to the animal hospital. We were lucky our vet was on duty today, since they have about 8 of them. It turns out she had a cancer in her spleen that ruptured. At least she had a good life. Few big dogs live 14.5 years and I've had her since she was all of six weeks old. I know other people feel the same way, but she was the best dog ever. At least for me. This is a picture from August 2005 in front of our house in Virginia.
