So my Great-Grandpa died yesterday. His kidneys had shut down so we weren't expecting him to live more than 38 hours. It still hits you heard though. Tears were shed yesterday. We're all sad for our loss but we are also happy. We now know that he isn't suffering anymore. He hated where he was living. He hated being reduced to infancy. It is a shock, and yet a relief at the same time.
Rest In Piece Great-Grandpa. You will be dearly missed
Justin & I got into another arguement about cellphones. His new excuse: They're a waste of time and money. Piss-poor excuse. He spends unessecary money on me all the time. Last time he came down he paid for my groceries. While the gesture was nice & very much appreciated, that money could've gone to a cellphone he keeps refusing to get. I hear how many times he buys Yu-Gi-Oh cards for himself & for myself and a few other friends. THAT is a waste of money. Sending money off to gaia online where all of us don't pay him back for months at a time. THAT is a waste of money. None of this was ever necessary. These are things that I do appreciate, but I can live without them. I would appreciate being able to get ahold of him.
He's always saying he's there for me. Well, i'm sorry, but he's not. The distance gap is a reason, but its a reason that's understandable. Its not being able to get ahold of him when I might need too. He works 6 days a week from 6 at night till 6 in the morning. Then he usually doesn't wake up until 2:30 in the afternoon. And during the times he's asleep his house phone is off. Soooooooooooo, when I need him I have to wait until the next day when he wakes up & decides to turn on his housephone?
It scares me that when I need him I won't be able to get ahold of him. It makes me sad that I can't send him a funny picture when I see something funny. Or leaving him a random text at midnight saying have a great night at work. Other couples do it, why can't we? I want to be able to do that with him.
The only thing I can understand is that he hates the idea of giving them his sin number. He doesn't understand why they need it. To be honest I'm not sure either. I think its kinda silly.
P.S. This is important to me. Why can't he understand that?
