Yet Another Update
Because I have been feeling much better, I asked D to drive me to the nMC rehearsal chez hrrunka on Sunday 24th October. It was great seeing everyone again, and the singing blew the cobwebs off my vocal chords and I was really glad that I went.
On Tuesday 26th October I had my six week follow up appointment at Kings College Hospital. I was not looking forward to having the doctor probing the area around The Cut, but in the event it didn't hurt at all, and the gynaecologist said the scar would fade eventually. He gave me form formally discharging me and said I should discuss the further amount of recovery time I still needed with my GP.
So on Friday I went to see my GP, who has signed me off for another two weeks, but I get the impression that they might be sending me back to work after that...
Then of course this last weekend we had to put the clocks back one hour. So my attempts at sorting out my sleeping patterns by getting up early-ish have now been exacerbated by the time change. At least I'm still doing this at home.
In other news, D has now got his Freedom Pass (I have to wait until November 2012 for mine!), which gives him free travel on the the buses and the underground and concessionary fares on the railway. He is not a number. He is a Free Man!
