Yesterday
Yesterday frostfox did her hour's stint on the plinth in Trafalgar square. And normally I would have gone along to support her, study clearing notwithstanding. But I had another, prior engagement.
On 3 September 1949 my parents got married. So yesterday my youngest sister K (the cook in the family) produced an excellent lunch for them, and D and I went over to help them eat it, taking a celebratory bottle with us. My mother is currently using a zimmer frame to get around, and my father enjoys a nap after lunch. But apart from that, they're both still doing fine.
Sixty years together is quite some achievement.
