is it Caturday yet?
How have I never been to 501 Diner before? It is magical! They have ridiculously good food and a cute atmosphere. I'll tell you what is not cute though: this weather.
After brunch I went to Raleigh to return the clothes that I've been meaning to return for a long time. What I found out once I got to the mall is that Delia's the store and Delia's the magazine are two very different things. I also found that I have a very low tolerance for shopping these days. I think Jennifer must have rubbed off on me. I think I would still enjoy a trip to Target with Anj soon, but malls, even on Thursdays, are apparently a bit much for me to handle. I did manage to buy some new jeans at the Levi's store (sorry Anne) and a few other sparkly accoutrements.
I wanted to find some stuff for a Halloween costume, but I think Southpoint is better suited for that task than Crabtree as there is the halloween store and hot topic.
yattaboe is going as a pirate, and I thought that might be fun, but I do not have any pirate gear at the moment. So, I'll either be going to the party as a pirate or a fancy lady depending on whether or not I have time to do more shopping this week.
Next week is going to be so ridiculously busy. It is hard to be so popular and to have so much work to do. I am looking forward to THE Halloween party (also, anyone else want to go to THE Halloween party? Mr. Lara? It's going to be a big house party on Caturday night with graduate students from various departments).
I was in bed petting Harper this morning, and I realized that petting her felt like petting someone else's cat. I realized that this is because Harper barely gets any attention from me lately because Sappho is always all up in my face when I am home. Or some other thing, like Panda, is outside making ungodly noises in an attempt to get food/attention.
It is hot. I want a beer. Alas, I must earn my beer by doing homework and housework.
