ABC in Australia just published an investigate report into Peak Oil. It is quite interesting in that even the optimists are admitting that we've got to get serious. They also all seem to agree that neither technology nor the market will save us

An idea -- start telling the family how to prepare. Show them in your own home what you've done, what can be done and that it isn't (in mom's words) a drag to do. Don't just say its coming, but teach people what to do to prepare.

Are those new-fangled light bulbs enough? How about getting a moped? What else??
