CAT FACTORY!

So I just organized the entire apartment. Whee.

Note that I do not say "cleaned". I don't feel like doing the mop/vacuum/scrub thing tonight, but everything is all organized and tidy now. =) =) =) Makes me feel a lot better. (I've been told that anxious people tend to be extremely organized and responsible people, maybe because they can't control their emotions so they take it out on being a control freak? That certainly applies to me.)

Oh, and here are some highlights from this weekend, which I forgot:

~Not bringing money for the stupid tollbooth and having to pay $3 in coins (at least 50 of which were pennies). I'm happy for this because I hate both tolls and coins with a passion, so to unload all my stupid coins to a cause I detest almost as much is quite refreshing. I may do this every time. !@#$% pennies. Sure, it took forever to count, but you know what, it's legal tender, so bite me.

And of course...

~CAT FACTORY!!

I've named my new iPod Michelle. I don't know why; it just seemed like an appropriate name. I call it "Shelly" for short. Shelly and Shirley (no, the little one's full name is NOT Mishirley).

I have a lot to do these next couple of months. So basically, I work a LOT this month (at least twice or three times a week, which is more than usual, and that's just for Sami). I have my first pass tomorrow at 5 (meaning I have to skip half of choir to do it, blah) and my second one next month again on a Thursday at 5 pm. Two psych appointments in the next couple of weeks (one depression overview group meeting and another appointment with my therapist), two ski rallies, three concerts... okay, actually, two concerts, but I'm in three choirs so that's still a lot of work. Yeesh. Then, on the 25th, I have a long day... actually, that whole weekend will be PACKED. On Saturday, I'm taking a course to get certified in adult and child/infant CPR (which I have taken before, but you know, the certificate wears out in a few years, and I took it when I was 12...), which should look really awesome when I'm applying to babysit/nanny for this upcoming summer/next year. In the evening, I have Samantha (god, she is SUCH a cutie... when she's sad now, she cuddles up with me and wants me to hold her! Awww =D), and the next day, there's a ski rally, which I will have to leave early in order to get to the early music concert on time. And at 1 pm the next day, I meet with my therapist (whom I don't particularly like so far, but we'll see where it goes).

Whew. Also to look forward to is Valentine's Day (which will be postponed until the Friday after because, well, long distance relationships suck when VD is on Tuesday...) dinner at La Fondue (I am such a Value Meal... but I've heard it's quite good and I wanted to go someplace nice) and I can hopefully wear my new dress, which came to Sunnyvale today. I have not seen it yet, but it's that one I really liked that Gillian showed me in maroon. I hope it fits/looks good on me. If not, I have my default LBD (little black dress), assuming Julia hasn't stolen it for good... yes, Julia, I know you like it, but it's still mine! LOL. When you're 18, you can have your own. And the mountainy overlook is right nearby so some stargazing can ensue. Get your minds out of the gutter, people, I happen to be an astronomy nerd. Ask Rachel, she can vouch for me!

I still can't figure out how to get the pictures to show up on Shelly The New iPod. I have the option checked in iTunes and everything (that's the first place I looked)! I mean really, what gives? Blah. Other than that, it's a wonderful iPoo, so yay Value iPods. I ordered this skin (the 4g version, obviously, but there isn't a picture of that one) for it to protectify it and everything.

What else... Jeffrey put me in charge again for tomorrow's chamber singers (at least, for part of the time), so I'm looking at the pieces he wants me to cover so I can plan an effective rehearsal. Let's hope it's not pandemonium again, but Jeffrey will be in the other room with the boys this time, so hopefully people will do stuff. And if not, I'll just march over and get Jeffrey to deal with them. *smirk* I'm going to ask Prof. Lemon (haha, I love that that's her last name) for tips on how to conduct well. He actually said "I'd be happy to ask Marjorie to lead a sectional" and commented on how well Isabel and I worked (with me directing and Isabel playing piano along with us, which is not easy to do and she does so wonderfully!)

So all in all, I'm feeling fairly good about things. It definitely helps that I cleaned up the apartment tonight (I just can't stand messes... I'm sure Allison, Andrew, Kieran, Amy, and Julia can attest to that, and Natalie, Sonia, and Holly are learning this for themselves no doubt), although Katie is annoyed that I moved all the trash she was playing with. Okay, she's cute but not exactly the brightest cat ever. LOL. Awww, but she's sitting on my lap right now and purring. And... lashing her tail... but unlike Dotty, she can't kill anyone if she's in a Mood. People keep asking me why I have a huge slash mark on my hand and I'm like, yep, that's my cat!

Bad news: my stupid rechargable camera batteries are dead all the time. The only way I can imagine is that they keep getting unplugged, so maybe if they stay plugged for a while, they'll work? But it annoys the hell out of me not to have a working digital camera. Poo. Anyway, that's why I don't have any picture posts or anything.

Well, I guess that's it for now. I'm going to go take a shower or something, since my track record for getting up early enough to take a shower before class is about 0% successful. *rolls eyes*
