Stupid RealPlayer, and another strepdate
I love how the one program I need to study for tomorrow's listening quiz, RealPlayer, is the one program that runs terribly on my computer. I can't even open the application... wtf?
Well, in other news, spent an hour and a half at the doctor's today. He doubled my antibiotic doseage (because it wasn't doing anything with the first batch of clindamysin) and gave me some anti-inflammatory steroids and some Tylenol with codiene in it. So basically, I took all the pills about two, three hours ago... and I'm happy to report that, while I still feel really tired and hot and out of it, I CAN SWALLOW AGAIN and the lumps are feeling much smaller. Which is good, because I HAVE to go to class tomorrow. I'm glad he emailed us about that listening quiz, though, because I'd completely forgotten about it.
Oh, and he also took a culture of my throat, so I'll know for sure whether it is strep or some weird viral thing. All I care is that TYLENOL WITH CODIENE IS THE BEST THING EVER AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH.
Now, I think I'll muster up the energy to take the trash out and go to Safeway. I'm still pretty worn out (hello, I'm on like three drugs here), but I had the leftover tempura for dinner (oh how lovely to eat solid food) so I'm no longer weak from hunger, and I think my hotness will feel better once I'm outside. I don't think it's a fever; I think my room is just overly hot. And naturally, the screen fell off the window in this shithole apartment, so now we can't open the window without the door being closed (so Katie can't sit on the ledge and fall out), which completely eliminates the venting/airflow of this room. Not that there was any to begin with.
