"One Short Day!"

OMG!!! This weekend has been so hectic! So, on Sunday morning I wake up as usual and I'm getting ready to go into the city because I was going to see Beauty & The Beast (cause the people in my Mom's office wanted to do something for their kids). I just finished eating breakfast when my Mom & G-ma come in carrying groceries. They said that all of the B-way actors are going on strike, which they heard on the radio. They said it would start at midnight and that I wouldn't be going to see Q on Tuesday w/ Pam & Jenna. Well, at first I was so upset then I didn't think they knew what they were even talking about so I went into the denial stage. Once I got on the bus (to the city) Kevin & Pam were being obnoxious once again and were teasing me about the situation. But I just listened to my cd player the entire way.
When we got to the city, we wandered around for a while. I went to Starbuck's and got a tall java-chip frap. w/ whipped cream (which was really good). Then we drifted into the Hershey store and we took this really cute picture with the Reeses Pieces guy (he was wearing this really cute candy wrapper costume). It is definitely a scrap booking picture.
At the theater my Mom asked some of the people there and they even said that the actors are going on strike! So by that time I was really depressed & I could barely concentrate on the show. The show was amazing even though I was upset about the equity strike & the fact that Christy Carlson Ramano wasn't there (which me & Pam were really looking forward to). The scenic design was gorgeous! When Mrs. Pott's sang Beauty & The Beast there were roses everywhere & it all looked so pretty. I couldn’t figure out some of the special effects though. Like when the Beast transformed into the really hot guy (that looked some-what like Fabio). I mean he was floating midair when all of the sudden *poof* he’s really hot! And whenever chip was in Mrs. Pott’s hands I didn’t know how he was floating in midair either. During intermission I was tempted to buy a Lumiere doll because he was too damn funny during the show. But I talked myself out of it because I felt reticules doing it. But my Mom did buy me the soundtrack and program.
During the second act Kevin decided to throw a Life Savor at me since he was sitting right behind me. It landed in my lap and it was all wet so I figured he already had it in his mouth. So I threw it back at him almost hitting his Mom, Debbie, who by the way gave Pam $20 for graduation. She's just too nice. After the show we went straight to the bus but we ended up waiting a good 20 minutes because a couple of people had to stop at Starbuck's. Then it took us an additional 30 minutes because Reggie (our bus driver) took us to the GW Bridge instead of the Lincoln Tunnel. Wow! I just noticed that there are so many things in NY named after American Presidents. But on the way home I called Jenna on her cell and started to tell her about the whole strike thing and she said that we will probably have to reschedule which made me cry. I tried so hard not to have a hissy fit. Even the 5 years olds that sat in front of me couldn’t understand why I was crying. But what made the situation even worse was when Pam & Kevin started singing "It Sucks To Be Me".

Pam & Kevin: “It sucka sucka sucka sucka sucka sucka sucka sucka to be you!”

On the car ride home I practically snapped at everyone who talked to me because I was in such a bad mood. Well needless to say that that day ended on a bad note.

Okay so today was better. I woke up and looked all over the Internet and saw that they probably weren’t going to have the strike, which made me so happy! Then I had to rush straight to Tennis Camp, which turned out to be great. The coach said that we weren’t going to be doing any conditional work, which by the way is so awesome! I think her name is Mrs. Ferguson but I’m not sure. Noelle was also a coach so that was good except when I messed up every 5 seconds cause it was really embarrassing. There were about 7 kids total. I really did suck though cause I haven’t played since November. I did have a couple good serves out the 200 that I did throughout the whole day. Now my back really hurts because she was trying to teach me a new technique.

Then I got home and saw that there was no strike. I went to work for 4 hours and I thanked Sandy a thousand times for covering for me.

Now I only have about 20 more hours til I see Avenue Q. I hope the full cast is there tomorrow. The only reason that they wouldn’t be there is if they don’t come because their contracts are up (but they wouldn’t do that to their fans cause they love them too much) or some other strange reason like a stupid strike that was put together at the last minute (which better not happen). I just have a few more arrangements to make before I go. Oh I seriously hope that everything goes well because I’m about to die of anticipation!
