Ville describes the other guys in HIM - April 2005

Continuing our walk down memory lane - from April 2005.

Here is my favorite bit from an interview/article from Powerplay Magazine - March 2005 with some pics (not from the article)

The whole article can be found here: http://www.livejournal.com/community/valo_daily/511660.html#cutid1

Could you describe the personalities of the other band members?
I could buts it’s hard! Our guitar player is Linde. Our guitar player is the talented one. He’s naturally super gifted but he’s also as close to being a mute as a talking person can be. You can never get a word out of him. You never know what he’s thinking. He’s one of the old school mates. I met him when I was about 12 so we’ve played in loads of bands together. We’ve grown up together. He’s very enigmatic because I never know what he’s thinking up there. The bass player I met when I was nine years old and he’s a psychedelic dude. He’s very well read and he knows a lot about everything but he looks like a bum on the street. He’s probably got a good reason for that, as he’s the spiritual guy in the band. He never talks about the technical aspect of music. He describes bass playing like being naked in the woods rather than putting on a Richenbacher and strumming it. Gas is as close to a Neanderthal as a modern man can be. He loves hockey, drums and food. If he gets all of them, like hockey on TV, play a bit of drums and gets to eat that makes him happy. He’s a very simple guy in that way. I am not talking about stupidity here. I’m talking about he knows exactly what he wants and is really happy with the simple things. He used to be a plumber so that tells you something about him. They keyboard player I met when I was a kid too; when I was 13 or 14 we got wasted together. He’s sort of like the politician in the way that he talks a load of rubbish. He’s the thinker of the band and he’s classically trained. He’s a bit more of a mathematician that we are.
