Hey there. Hi to those of you who will read this post, as some of you might want to skip this one since... you know, you might want to take another look at that title.
Here is a picture for those of you who drifted away.
Here is another. I am being generous.
I think that we’re all set now. If you still feel unsure about the nature of this post, you might want to have a little one on one with yourself and ponder upon it some more. In case of emergency or violent nausea, you can leave the battlefield and enjoy a tasty cup of hazelnut hot chocolate - or a glass of freshly brewed tea with mashed vegetables and supplements, if that’s your thing. If you are still uncertain about this entry, you can picture yourself a unicorn dancing on rainbows. That's right, I don't dare to post that thing just yet. Okay that should do.
Moving on, here is the listI've made, in no particular order. I’ll warn you beforehand that there will be no supplementary picture at the end of this post. This is not Christmas but a cruel world, fellows.
1- I have realized that there are some songs which feel really funny to listen to in the subway. I would strongly suggest that you try and listen to Soul On Fire to the max on your iPod when you’re right in front of an elderly lady. Think about that yelling part in the chorus. Yes, it feels that weird. But it’s such a (guilty) great feeling...
2- There are some songs which I can never get enough of. My iPod tells me that I’ve listened to the different versions of Wicked Game for a total of 40 times since the past months. I might have a degenerative disease.
3- It’s a quite peculiar feeling to realize that a vast majority of the songs I listen to are influenced one way or another by Ville. There really should be an encyclopaedia about this whole universe which all of us fans tend to gravitate towards once we get to know Ville. It would be about music (The 69 Eyes, Turbonegro, Bad Brains, Neil Young and co.), movies (David Lynch, Hellraiser, various horror movies and ninja movies), books, etc. Just these few are enough to feed someone for months.
4- There really should be more Mercy Fvcks shirts being released. Ville would make a fortune and we all want Ville to make a fortune, huh? Nuff said ;)
5- I have realized that my system is so fucked up that I often happen to listen to two same songs in a row - the first being the original and the second being the acoustic version. Yes, you’ll catch me listening to For You, then to For You, then to It’s All Tears, then to It’s All Tears... It’s no coincidence that my iPod tells me that I listened to In Joy And Sorrow 15 times and that I listened to In Joy And Sorrow (acoustic)... 15 times, that's right.
6- I realize that the fact that I remember Ville’s every move in each of the making of the HIM wideos is quite weird. It’s as if these wideos were official releases - which they nearly are, by the way. And so is every classic interview with Ville. There I can tell that once he says this, he’s going to move this way and then that way, etc. I don’t know about you guys, but I do feel very suspicious about the fact that my brain stores this type of information way more easily than any of the stuff I study. As Ville said, I guess Ich bin krank im Kopf!
7- Some details stick to my mind insanely. There’s Ville’s laugh after he says “Don’t tell anybody that there’s wood inside”, Ville’s baby face in a fan interview (Laura’s), Ville’s joyful face and his laugh in a Finnish interview, Ville’s embarrassed smile when he recalls “I said as politely as possible: No thank you, I just want to get some sleep’”... Lastly, let’s not forget about these “I have a little queen in me” and “I’m blue-eyed so I believe everything, everything I read. Wikipedia, everything” gems.
8- Alright, I will admit that this wasn’t really a list. A random billboard would be a better term. To make amends for my heartless lie, here is another pic of Ville’s cutesy mug - for free minus the unicorn.
