...wait, I don't even know when the last post was...I think it was sometime last year when I was just beginning my teaching career.
Well I am sick of talking about last year...it sucked, it was hard...but many good things came out of it too. I am at a new school in Brampton where I teach 6 autistic verbal students who are at an academic level of grade 1-2 approximately. I love it! It has its ups and downs but it's definitely a better place to work than the environment I was in last year.
I am warming up to Brampton actually...I am meeting more people here and now that I have a car I have more freedom. It's my mom's old '96 Dodge Stratus and it's got some rust on it, but it gets me from point a to point b!!!!
Living with Dave has gotten better too...it was really hard at times, especially because I had such a stressful year.
I find that work occupies a bunch of my time and there is not much time left for socializing, which sucks! Teaching is like that though, especially for the first 5 years or so I imagine. It's jam packed for 10 months and that is why we get summers off! :o!
I had a great summer, I did an online course, visited friends and family all over Ontario, and relaxed, slept in, etc.
I guess this is an incredibly boring post, but I'll believe James when he says it will be interesting in a few years!!!
