Chapter 3
Heechul’s POV
Hankyung stared at us and I just laughed and laughed and laughed. I couldn’t stop laughing either. It was too funny. He looked as if he just died. I stood on his monitor and beside me was Donghae who was grinning, saying, “I didn’t know that humans are giants!”
Hankyung’s eye twitched. “We’re not giants. You fairies are the little people.”
“That’s from your perception but mine is different,” said Donghae. “Hey,” he flew to Hankyung’s shoulder and sat down on it, “mind if you give me a brief introduction to your world? You gave one to Heechul, didn’t you?”
Hankyung sighed. I thought that he wouldn’t do it but he did brief Donghae about his world. He’s such a nice guy that I’m honestly amazed.
“Heechul,” Hankyung changed his clothes in front of us -he wasn’t shy anymore! “Why did you come at this time? You usually come at night. I have to go to school.”
“Then can we come?” I flew to him and Donghae followed. We grinned and begged, “please!”
Hankyung sighed. “Fine. Just make sure that no one sees you and if someone does, don’t move.”
“Why?” asked Donghae.
“Pretend that you’re dolls. That’s the only thing that I could think of.”
So off to school we went!
Donghae and I hid in Hankyung’s book bag. With the zipper opened, we stared at all the people and also at how a campus… that’s what Hankyung said… looked like. It was interesting to see the people. There were a lot of them and they all wore different styles of clothes. They all wore really thick ones, though, that I couldn’t imagine myself in those clothes. Hankyung told me that it was already fall and it was getting cold for people, but Donghae and I felt the same like we usually do.
During class, Donghae and I sat on Hankyung’s shoes, watching the guy who was teaching teach from below. Hankyung told us that we had to be quiet that we couldn’t even whisper to each other, so Donghae and I quietly listened to the guy teach. I was getting distracted, though. I couldn’t help but stare at shoes, especially of the girls. In Incantare, we only wear sandals or nothing. We didn’t have… what are those things? It looked painful. How can girls wear shoes like that? It was painful to see, but at the same time it was beautiful. It looked like art for me.
Hankyung had three classes and we jumped from class to class. Both Donghae and I couldn’t even talk unless we were in Hankyung’s bag, but even inside the bag we had to remain calm and quiet.
After his classes, Hankyung went to this place that held a lot of books. He walked into this room and made Donghae and I come out.
“Now, it’s time for the two of you to leave,” Hankyung told us. “I have to work and your other fairy friends might be looking for you.”
I shook my head and crossed my arms in front of my chest. “I am not leaving because I enjoy being in this place.”
Donghae looked nervous, “I’m not so sure, Heechul. We might turn human.”
“Then you go back,” I told him. “I can bring you back to the portal, but I’m staying here. I like being around Hankyung.”
“Well…” Donghae bit his lip. “I don’t want to leave you alone.”
“I’m not forcing you to stay, Donghae. You can leave if you want.” I flew to Hankyung and hugged his face which was too big for me to hug. “I want to stay here with Hankyung!” Hankyung smiled at me and so I smiled back at him. “I like Hankyung! I like humans more than I do fairies.”
Donghae sighed. “If you say so, Heechul. I want to go home already.”
“I’ll lead you to the out of this room,” said Hankyung for there weren’t any windows.
Hankyung turned and walked towards the door. I sat on his shoulder and Donghae flew in front of him. However, just when he reached the door, the door opened and Donghae fell to the ground.
“Donghae!” I screamed and flew to him.
Hankyung stared at first, but then he went on his knee.
“Huh?” said the one who opened the door. It was that Eunhyuk guy. He looked clueless at first but when he saw me and Donghae on the floor, he gasped. “I’m so sorry!” and he kneeled down along with Hankyung.

Donghae’s POV
My world spun. Beside me was Heechul who was flapping his hand onto my face, giving me some air. Seriously, does she think that that works? It only makes me dizzier because her hand keeps going back and forth, back and forth. On both of my sides were two giants… I mean, humans. Hankyung was behind Heechul and… who was that man behind me? He looked familiar. He looked awfully familiar.
“Oh, shit,” said that familiar looking man, “did I hurt you? I didn’t mean to hurt you. I didn’t know that any… uhmm… fairies were here.”
He sounded familiar as well.
“Are you alright?” he asked again.
Hankyung took me in his hand and Heechul flew to the man. “How dare you hit my friend? Do you know how painful that must have been?”
“I’m sorry! I didn’t know!”
“You… you… I don’t like you!” shouted Heechul. She flew to me and told Hankyung, “we have no choice until he gets better. He has to stay here.”
“Okay,” said Hankyung. He laid me on this top shelf and comforted me a little until he had to leave with that guy friend of his because they had to work. They left me with Heechul who had no idea on how to deal with injuries. In Incantare, injuries happen. Some of us knew how to heal it, like Ryeowook, Yesung, and Kibum. Heechul and me, however, were both idiots.
My head was spinning. I wanted to rest and sleep, but Heechul won’t shut up. She kept on talking and talking, thinking that it would make me feel better but it wasn’t making me feel better at all. Instead, it was making me feel much much worse. I know she just thought that she was making things better, but her usual entertainment was not what I wanted at the time. I wanted to sleep!
A few hours later, the guy came in and walked to Heechul and me.
“I’m so sorry for what happened,” he told me. “I really didn’t know that you were there.”
I asked, “What’s your name?”
Heechul frowned at me. “Why are you asking? He almost killed you!”
I stared at Heechul. She was acting rather strange. She usually did not talk like that. Were humans finally affecting her? This was bad.
“Uhmm…” the guy scratched the back of his head. “I really am sorry and I didn’t mean to almost kill you,” he told me. “My name is Eunhyuk.”
Eunhyuk. Even that name was so familiar. So I told him, “You look familiar.”
He smiled at me, “You know what, I was thinking the same thing!” his gums showed, and that smile even seemed familiar. Was he an old fairy who I knew? That was impossible. For fairies to return to being humans, they… well, that was possible, but if that happened, they should be rather strange. Shouldn’t they? They just wake up as if they woke up a day after they died but in a different place and different world. So, I asked, “what year were you born?” He answered, and I asked, “what year is it now?” he answered as well and he was not a hundred years old. He was human but he looked so familiar.
“Stop talking to him!” Heechul shouted at him. “He almost killed you!”
I sighed. “I can’t die, Heechul. You know that. I can just get hurt. Besides, it was an accident.”
“Whatever,” Heechul crossed her arms across her chest. “If you want to talk to him, go ahead. I’m already telling you that I don’t like him,” and she flew to the other side of the room.
“I don’t know why she’s acting like that,” I told Eunhyuk. “I really don’t know.”
“I wish I could help you,” said Eunhyuk, “but she just doesn’t like me. She’s protective of you.”
I shrugged my shoulders. We’re friends and Kangin was also rather protective of Heechul. So I guess those two probably were related in their human lives and not just friends who died together.
The door opened and we turned our heads. It was two men who Eunhyuk called, “Kyuhyun? Sungmin?” He laughed, “Making out again?” he gave a nervous laugh and the two men stared at me.
“Eunhyuk,” Kyuhyun pointed a finger towards me, “you’re talking to a glowing butterfly.”
“I’m not a butterfly!” I flew to Kyuhyun and Sungmin, both of whom just stared at me as if I was going to kill them. I smiled, though. “I’m a fairy!”
Sungmin ran out of the room and Kyuhyun stared at me. “I’m crazy,” he said. “I’m hallucinating and this is not right. I’m sure that I’m sober too.”
Eunhyuk walked to me, “Uhmm… Kyuhyun, meet Donghae. I have a lot of explanation to do.”
Heechul appeared by my side. “Hi, Kyuhyun! Hankyung told me a lot about you!”
Kyuhyun blinked. “Two fairies… two fairies glowing in blue and red… I’m drunk.”
“You’re not drunk,” said Eunhyuk. “You haven’t even had any alcohol yet.
The door opened again and Sungmin came running in, grabbing Hankyung’s wrist. “See!” Sungmin pointed a finger at me and Heechul. “There are fairies here!”
Hankyung sighed. “Heechul, explain everything. Eunhyuk, go outside. We can’t leave the bookstore alone.”
“Okay,” Eunhyuk walked out of the room and so did Hankyung, leaving me and Heechul with Sungmin and Kyuhyun.
It was terrible, especially Kyuhyun because he kept giving us question after question.
Kyuhyun and Sungmin sat down in front of the shelves where Heechul and I sat on.
“So,” Kyuhyun asked, “in Incantare, you are like this. Like, a flower is as big as my fist. In Incantare, it’s the same thing.”
Heechul nodded and replied with such a bored tone, “Yes.”
“And in Incantare, you have markers which remind you of your… death?”
“Death or previous life.”
“Your markers are…?”
“These,” Heechul raised her arm, “Golden rings. Donghae’s are these,” she pointed at my eye, “the pearls around his eyes. Some will have multiply copies of their markers and some will have only one. It doesn’t matter, though, the marker has to stay.”
“Why?”
Heechul frowned, “Didn’t I already tell you?”
And the conversation went on and on and on, until a new person came in with Hankyung.
“I am telling you, those things are demons! The devil is playing with…” the guy trailed off when he saw Heechul and me.
“Hey, guys,” said Hankyung, “this is Siwon. He thinks that you’re from Hell.”
“What?” Heechul flew up and flew over to Siwon, pointing her finger at the guy. “Do you know how insulting that is?”
And she rambled and rambled and rambled and rambled.
“Shut up!” Siwon finally snapped and that made me laugh. “I don’t understand a thing that you are saying!”
Heechul gasped and threw her hand to her chest. “How dare you raise your voice at me!” And she went on and on and on again.
Hankyung laughed and so did I. As for Kyuhyun and Sungmin, they both stood up and went to Siwon.
“Your turn at the chair,” said Kyuhyun, “we have work to do,” and they both left.
“Now, Siwon,” Hankyung led the stricken man to the chair and made him sit down. “Be nice. Heaven and Hell still exist, but now you have Incantare as well. Heechul and Donghae will explain,” and with that Hankyung left.
“Okay…” Siwon stared at me, “can you talk to me instead of her? She’s kind of… you know…”
“What are you trying to say?” Heechul shouted and flew back to Siwon wherein she gave him another long, long scolding. I just laughed, and when she finished, she was too tired to talk that I explained to Siwon everything.

Kangin’s POV
Where was Heechul? For the past hours, I’ve been searching for her along with Yesung and Ryeowook. Where was she? She should have told me where she went to. She knows how worried I could get!
I flew over to the lake where she usually hung out with Kibum and Donghae. It was there that I saw Kibum sitting on a rock, arms crossed over her chest, her lips in a pout and her brows furrowed. She was mad. Together with Yesung and Ryeowook, we flew down to her wherein she glared at us.
“Have you seen Heechul?” I asked. I was too worried to be scared of her glance. “I haven’t seen her for almost the whole day and it’s already night. I’m getting worried.”
“Heechul?” Kibum scoffed. “You want to know where that brat is? She’s in the human world!”
My heart stopped beating. That was impossible. Heechul would not do such a thing.
“If you don’t want to believe me, take a seat and wait for a few more hours,” Kibum pointed to another rock. “She brought Donghae along with her. Can’t you put that girl on a leash?”
I frowned. “Heechul won’t do such a thing.”
Yesung spoke, “She would.”
“She definitely would,” Ryeowook agreed.
“Fine,” I said. So the three of us sat down and waited. “What are we waiting for?” I asked Kibum.
“The portal is over here,” said Kibum. She pointed to the lake, “To open the portal here, one must use a blue flame. I don’t know how Heechul found that out, but she did.”
I sighed. I hoped that she was okay.

Val's Corner:
Hi there, dearies! So, I won't be posting this in miracle for a while, so please visit my journal instead for updates. The reason why is because I have to do some marketing first for "Revenge on Royalty." The book version of the fic will hold a LOT of differences but the base plot line is practically still the same. Incantare is also being considered to be turned into a book. So, yeah, please don't repost this on any site. Like what I said before, I am absolutely, unbelievably, strict on copyright. So, yeah :)
What else to say but thank you for everything!
How are you doing, dearies? :)
