My Poor Harddrive.
Everything, Gone. T_T I'm using my backup computer as we speak until my new Hardrive gets here. I COULDN'T SAVE ANYTHING FROM IT. My only consolation is that 90% of what was on it was stored on our server, but anything small and personal (Email addresses, Little downloads, MY SCANLATED MANGA FOR THE LAST MONTH) gone. AHHHH BACKGOUNDS, from the past month. I Don't even know what I lost yet. Oh Crap, My Karaoke Files, I hadn't backed them up to Audio Disk yet. And all the stories I downloaded to read later, so not fair. There should have been a week warning before harddrives are allowed to just lock up and stop working. And the worst part is that, from the sound of it, I don't think it can be recovered. It just clicks at me. I THINK I backed up my DT snippets, but my luck, I doubt it.
I hate when things like this happen. And I was just happy recently because I got to upgrade my Cell phone finally. And we're getting some money back from Taxes, enough that we're going to be a Two (MAC) laptop family again. It's the waiting that's going to kill me. And the restore and try and remember what I lost phaze.
Hopefully, once the harddrive gets here, I'll put it in, reload and get everything back up and running. It's just... Why couldn't it have given me a sign that it was about to go out? I mean, MAC's are suppose to be more people friendly than Windoze machines. Shouldn't there be some diagnostic program running in the background to let you know when the integrity of the harddrive is getting below a certain percent and chances are it's about to give up the ghost? [sigh] It would be nice if it did. Now I'm stuck with this VISTACrap maching until I can get the MacBook back up and running. I guess I shouldn't complain too much. At least I have a backup unit to use so I don't go too far into withdrawl. BUT IT'S WINDOWS. Once you do MAC, you don't WANT to go back to Windows. The Sound sucks, the interface is slow, the touchpad is WAY to touchy. Saving grace for this machine, It was my first laptop and I have the Torchwood T on the front. At least it has some character.
Ok, rant done, for now. At least today's Choir so I won't have too much time to miss my MAC, but tomorrow... I may have another rant on my first full day without the MACBook.
