Alrighty! :D I took my base and got rid of the words to the side and then sharpened it to 40.
Duplicate your base and set it to Screen. The opacity will depend on your picture, for mine, I left it at 100.
Now, I merged my layers and did Levels:
~LEVELS~
--Value--
Input: 20, 1, 255
--Red--
Input: 33, 1, 255
Output: 100, 255
--Green--
Input: 90, 1, 255
Output: 100, 255
--Blue--
Input: 2, 1, 255
Output: 52, 255
Duplicate your base. Now, I wanted some more red in the picture and less purple, so I used the Channel Mixer and Color Balance:
~CHANNEL MIXER~
Red: 164, -69, 0
Green: 0, 100, 0
Blue: -60, 60, 89
(preserve luminosity on)
~COLOR BALANCE~
Midtones: 40, 25, 40
(and for those who don't have Color balance:
~LEVELS~
--Red--
Output: 20, 255
--Green--
Input: 0, 1, 240
--Blue--
Output: 10, 255)
and another Levels for the duplicate layer:
~LEVELS~
--Blue--
Input: 0, 1, 200
Output: 100, 255
set the duplicate to Darken Only, opacity 100.
Duplicate that layer and set it to Soft Light, 100.
Merge all those layers. I went for another Color Balance to get rid of some of the red:
~COLOR BALANCE~
Shadows: -100, 0, 0
Midtones: 100, 20, 0
And for the last touch of color, I did a Hue+Saturation:
~HUE+SATURATION~
--Master--
Saturation: 20
All this from now on is really optional. I made a new layer and added a flower brush on the side.
After that, I added a grey texture and set it at Multiply, 100.
Duplicate that layer twice and set the first to Burn, and the second to Soft Light, 30.
Add a scratchy texture (setting it at Screen) and whalah! That is it!
Hope that was helpful and I would love to see your results! =D
