....hes updating?
well...its been a while, and i figured i would update at least a little, to talk about whats been going on. Last friday morning, Caitlin and i left for New York. The trip up was fine, about five hours, the tolls sucked, and the new jersy turnpike sucked balls. I spent the whole time in jersy just coming up with slogans for the state like..."New Jersy: New Yorks little bowel movement." and things like that. I was a little worried when i got into the city and only had like...a sixth of a tank of gas left...cuz i wasnt seeing any gas stations. Then we got lost on a street or two trying to find my moms hotel, and damn those cabbies are bitches. So, i was like, F this, im driving like them, so i forced my way through traffic and hit a woman as she was crossing the road...well, it was more like she ran into my car..but, she was ok. We ended up finding the hotel and parking the car in the garage under the building. Then we walked like, seven blocks up to our hotel. The Habitat hotel, which was pretty cool and modern like. We got our room, which was really small, but, cool, nontheless. When we were situated, we met my mom at this little cafe/diner place called ....Cosi, which is kinda like, a chipotle, but with like..non mexican food. I got this awesome chicken caeser salad. Afterwards, we went our seperate ways. Caitlin wanted to go to the met, but, we didnt know the metro system yet, so, we went on our twenty block hike, and on about block three, it started to pour down rain. By the time we got to the met, it looked like wed both just climbed out of a pool. I didnt want to be there in the first place, but, whatever, the museum was cold as shit, and we were soaking wet, so it really sucked...looking at art i really didnt care to see. After like, two hours of the Met, we jumped on the Metro and took it back down to our hotel and changed. We met up with her friend and went to Times Square. We went to the Virgin Megastore, which was really freakin cool. After we left, it was close to midnight, and we ended up falling asleep. The next morning, we slept in until around noon. After we woke up, we ended up meeting up with my mom at a pizza place that was VERY good. When we were all done eating, we went down to the Statue of Liberty, which was cool, but, not amazing. After that, we went to China town, which was pretty awesome. I got a bunch of bootleg movies, and caitlin got some other stuff. Then we had dinner at this resturant in little Italy...straight up best lasagna that ive ever had...ever. After that, Caitlin and i went back to Times Square and went to the three story Toys R' Us, it had a freakin ferris wheel inside of it, which was totally cool. It also had this massive barbi dream house, and a T-Rex, and this huge spiderman, and all these giant transformers...it was awesome. Back to the Virgin Megastore, and then back to the hotel for more sleep. Sunday morning, we woke up around 11 and went to another pizza place, which was really good, but not as good as the first one. After that, we took a cab to central park and got free tickets for Shakespear in the park, where all the actors were real actors from like, law and order, and Nypd blue and other shows. when we left there, we went to a three story comic store called 'midtown comics' that was awesome. When we were done there, we went to Hells Kitchin(which is a real area)and went to a flea market, which SUCKED...it was like...three tents of crap, i was not impressed. Afterwards, we saw a cupcake store, and got cupcakes...they were so freakin good. when we were done with the cupcakes, we metro'd back to my moms hotel and met up with her. grabbed a cab and went back to the park to get ready for the show. we got some food and got situated. The show was amazing. the acting was superb. it was 'Much Ado about Nothing'. Afterwards, caitlin and i went back to times square one last time and did random stuff, and then went to this really cool McDonalds. When we were done, we walked from Times Square to our Hotel, which was a good...maybe fifteen blocks, but, it was nice out. We packed our things and went to sleep. The next morning, we checked out around Noon and picked up my car, we finally found a gas station and filled up. We werent out of the city until around 2 in the afternoon, the drive back was ok, till i got rearended...my car is ok, just a little paint scrape. When we got home, i dropped caitlin off, and went home. Had some McDonalds with Andrew and then went to sleep. The next day at work, we found out that our coordinator is leaving, hes getting called back to active duty, so, im applying for his job. hopefully i get it. then we saw spiderman 2 on tuesday night at midnight, and it was totally freakin awesome, i had some small problems with it, but, its exactly what i hoped it would be. i just wish spidey would be more like...spidey..and talk a little more trash..but, its something i can easliy overlook. Wednesday morning at work, i hurt my back and had to go to urgent care. They put me on vicodn and flexiril...so...im feeling damn good....well...thats it for now...peace.
