Weekend activities
So early Saturday morning, I cleared everything off my porch and cleaned it good. I put down two coats of Thompson's water seal and it looks like a new deck! Now I want some wireless speakers for out there. My back and right shoulder were SCREAMING Sunday monring, but I did not let that deter me from my destination. Sunday, we painted the ceiling in the man cave (Russ' room), patched some sheetrock walls and then filled cracks in the concrete that I got screwed on the pouring of. The guy who poured it was supposed to come back and fill the cracks which resulted because he used too much water and poured on a wet day (dumbass), but since it has been ten months and he hasn't come back, I think it's safe to assume since he got his money, he ain't coming back. So the cracks are filled now, and yesterday evening, we rolled the concrete sealer on the floor. That shit stinks and has permeated my entire house with its noxious fumes. But anyway, the floor is now sealed and I can finally logically look at some carpet selections. Extra thick padding since it is going on concrete, is a given. I'm considering a thick-loop Berber in an oatmeal color. Two walls down there are brick and two are sheetrock and will be painted a pale celery green. The ceiling is antique white and furniture is all wood.
Anyway, it was a very productive weekend, and I actually found an hour or three of hammock time, too.
