Saturday in Charleston
So Saturday after my brief appearance on the Today Show, Russ and I along with another couple, Erin & Shyla, headed to Charleston for the day. It started out rather dreary and threatening rain, but the sun came out and it turned out to be a great day. We dropped the fellas off at Russ' brother's house. He has a pool table, a slot machine and a pinball machine in his living room. Yes, as a matter of fact, he IS a batchelor! So we dropped off the guys and the girls went shopping. I found a few really cute things to round out the wardrobe I have been whittling down since Christmas.
Later, we had a nice lunch at Ruby Tuesday's -- I know, in Charleston and eating at a chain restaurant should be against the law with all the GREAT restaurants they have there, but we just felt like the salad bar and a few cold brewskis would be perfect. We got back to Columbia around 5:00 and Erin insisted we come over - he wanted to cook steaks for us. So Saturday night we ate steak and portabella mushrooms with sauteed shrimp, baked potatos, and I brought a Dutch apple pie with vanilla ice cream. We never made it to the pie and ice cream.
