Last night I became more involved with the
t.v then ever. A few of my friends
and I where watching National geo. downtown
at Ben's apt. The story was the struggle of
a lone elephant searching for it herd and
how vulnerable even a creature of his size
can be. SO anyways nightfalls for the elephant
and out of no where all these small white lights
start to appear from the darkness,as they get closer
you realize the lights are eyes and the eyes are of
the largest pride of lions i've ever seen, which
isnt saying much since i've never been to Africa,
but anyways the are at least 12 lions and one lone and
gigantic, but not full grown elephant. Well the
lions realize the opportunity they have in front
of them and take advantage by climbing the elephant
and grabbing the back end eating him alive while trying to
weight him to the ground. The cries of the elephant was
the saddest most intense thing I can ever remember seeing
on T.v and im sure its because of how much I had to drink, but
im screaming at the elephant to get up everyone is completely
silent, I guess their is something morally wrong about any other animal
being able to pull down a beasts of its size, any way the elephant
is brought to its back knees struggling to get to its feet and I'm almost in
tears yelling at him to get up, we all are, and then their are just too many
for him to take and he accepts fate and his front legs give in and falls and
they are adding to the emotion by playing a trumpet really pulling on you're
heart stings it was the biggest drama i've ever seen in the animal kingdom and
then all of a sudden the elephants head lifts up and lets out the biggest earth
shattering scream and youre sitting their praying that its herd will come out
of nowhere and save him. Then all of sudden the elephAnt gets his second wind
and fucking stands up and we are cheering like Roy Jones Jr had just won the
fight and he runs off all bloody, but alive and I swear to god that was the
single most inspiring moment i've ever seen in my life.
