Well, we won the boat race - quite massively. Woop woop. I'm sure I'm supposed to feel immense pride at my University's victory but I find that somewhat difficult when only two of the crew are proper students. Is that libellous?...I don't know, but they can't really expect us to believe that all those enormous American olympic-champion rowers got onto their MSc Science and Medicine of Athletic Performance courses on academic merit alone. One of the 2006 crew was at my college and he was a dunce. It just seems a bit pointless - it's a race between Oxford and Cambridge universities, if you stuff your boats with imported muscle that doesn't really deserve to be studying at those universities what is it about? Who can successfully woo the most world-class rowers?...
