On "racism"
OK, so Harry Reid is an old poop--I mean, seriously, who uses the term "Negro"??? And his "light skinned" talks OK thing was....um, condescending? Yeah, you bet.... I really don't five a flying F what people SAY--or even how they say it.... Were it not for the fact that SO many people have been hounded out of jobs/office for much LESS, I'd say WTF, blather on....
But the double standard is so OBVIOUS.... so EXTREME.... Look at what's happened to all those folks who "made a mistake" or "mispoke"....
Can you imagine what all these pathetic Democrat apologists would be saying if some other Mormon--say, Mitt Romney--had said anything similar to what Reid said? Pffft.... And Romney's family was instrumental in OPPOSING the racist teachings/rules of the Morman Church.... no word on what the Reid family thought about it....
That said, Reid should stay just where he is.... remain the public face of the Democrat party.... to be featured in ads during the 2010 campaign.
And Bill Clinton---saying "a few years ago he (Barry) woulda been bringin us coffee"... NOT racist, not without presuming MAJOR intent. In politics, typically the first few years of one's involvement ARE spent doing shit work.... bringing coffee.... for the muckety-mucks who run the party machines. Barry never put in his time.... didn't have to BECAUSE of his race.... because he was "clean" and "articulate".... "light skinned" and didn't have a "Negro dialect unless he wanted to".
Oy.... dog forbid I defend Billy Clinton.... I have to admit though, it's actually kind of hard to DISlike him since he's so engaging, even in his creepiness and wrongheaded devotion to our enslavement by government. And he's GENUINELY and undeniably SMART and able to speak effectively on his feet--unlike a certain unsavory dude currently sleeping in an 80 degree bedroom in the White House.....
