2014 spring season part IV.

Apr 09, 2014 22:40

Can you believe it? There are still some animes left out from this spring. Since I slept all morning, I hope I can finish them today before my body shuts down again. -.-

Abarenbou Rikishi!! Matsutarou
Sakaguchi Matsutarou has strenght beyond ordinary people, but he really doesn't think before he acts. Even as a grown man, he still goes to high school, but does not take it seriously. Eventually he'll become a sumo wrestler.

This wants to be a sport anime, remade from a manga with the same title. Not that it doesn't have it's funny moments, but the simplicity of it does not charm me this time. The guy is just an idiot, not caring about his siblings, our his own future.

Captain Earth
Already wrote about this one. Daichi gets mistaken to be captain of a mecha, that is designed to protect the Earth from intruders.

What I really didn't understood:
1. why the mecha needs to be set up in space
2. why it requires 3 - I repeat THREE - space stations
3. even more why, when the parts are launched before the other arrives - like baton pass.

Dragon Collection
Another card game anime from this season. Hiro is an energetic boy, who gets sucked into the arcade game Dragon Collection.

The idea, that the book where they collect the card is in one the tool to summon the creatures is not bad - but I still love Dragon Drive better.

Fairy Tail (2014)
You know what? An anime where I see the end battle in the first minute does not give much reason for me to watch it. >>" I mean I understand that there is an option to change the future, and as they are the heroes it is not impossible for them to win at the end, but if I see a scene from the last battle, then just make a movie, and let me watch the last battle.

Haiykuu!!
Hinata Shouyou loves volleyball. In middle school he gets stopped by a superstar player, Kageyama Tobio. To take revenge Hinata goes to the Karasuno High School volleyball club, only to face his rival.

After the intro Hinata will attack, and Kageyama will serve.

Kamigami no Asobi
Kusanagi Yui does not have any plans for her life. One day she finds a sword (which is actually the Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi) on the family shrine, and gets transported into another world. The one who called her was Zeus. The bond between the divine and human word is weakening, and to cancel out the negative effects he plans to use her, to teach young Gods the meaning of love.
The Gods are the Scandinavian Baldr & Loki, the Japanese Tsukuyomi & Sano (probably Susanoo?), and the Greek Hades & Apollo (though Apollo was also Roman God - I guess they couldn't just leave him out of as a Greek one X3).

Well... You know, I got almost disappointed in this season, as I have not seen an anime I would like to follow. Even La Corda annoyed me. But when I saw this... A bit like Angelique, a bit like Harukanaru. It has reverse harem, Gods, and it could actually surprise me.
Just watch this transformation - if you have not seen it yet - and you'll understand my point.

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei
Already mentioned this anime by the preview post. Nothing new worth mentioning. The older brother is really good, but hides his power for some reason. His observations makes me remember the character of Lelouch from Code Geass. Everyone is plotting, hiding behind a smiling face... not for me.

Oreca Battle
Another card game anime. The main character is called Oreca Fire. Hehehe... ~.~"

Baby Steps
Maruo Eiichirou is called by everyone Ei-chan, working hard on his school performance, identified by his perfect notes, but not having anything he is passionate about. He begins tennis after he gets to know a girl in school, Natsu, who aims to be a professional.

Again a sport anime, which is not my style. Also, just in the last semester of college I don't want to hear about finding a reason in life. >.>"

Black Bullet
People fight against aliens. These creatures can overtake the body of a human and be reborn as giant insects. Rentarou works as a Promoter, leading the Initiator Enju, a coursed child infected with Gastrea to fight against the monsters.

The child goes to grade school, and has a crush on Rentarou. That part makes me remember Kodomo no Jikan.

Duel Masters VS
Yes, I watched the first episode. Yes, this is another card game. This time they are not in another world, there is an another world, where the creatures work as they move the cards.

What you must know about this: no matter how low you listen to it, the mains voice is like crying loud.

Gokukoku no Brynhildr
Murakami Ryouta tries to find proof of aliens, to fulfull a promise to Kuroneko, a childhood friend, who died because of him. He is shocked when he sees the transfer student Kuro Neko, who looks just like his late friend. It turns out, she is a witch, her powers altered with operation and medicine.

A bit like Elfen Lied, but doesn't seem as ecchi. Those who wanted a more complex story then will probably like this one.

Hero Battle
Another merchandise promo. You buy strong weapons, armor, have some producers and you'll win every fight. Only, the competition should be interesting, or nobody will watch your battle.

Isshuukan Friends
Yuuki would like to be friends with his classmate Kaori. But she declines his friendship, as her memories disappear after one week. Still, Yuuki wants to be her friend, so he decides to become her friend, every week, over and over again.

This one is adorable. Def. worth checking out.

More then 10 series still wait for me to check them - and I think there are some that'll come out later this month, so look forward to that.
