2014 winter season: promo review
Since this year today is the last day to upload essential stuff, I wanted to clear the coming winter season. These are just the promos, but I thought this might give a view in what to watch, and what to avoid. ^.^ The pictures are mostly from the official websites, hopefully informative enough.
Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren / Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions II
Nothing new there, a new season came out, as mentioned before. Two girls living together, based on a light novel. Do I need to say more?
Future Card Buddyfight
Based on a card game with the same name. What I could mention from the promo: CG burns the eyes out. T_T
A not very original mix of Yu-Gi-Oh and Bayblade spiked with a bit Digimon.
Gin no Saji / Silver Spoon Season 2
New season after the first, from 2013 autumn. The seniors leave, and our main will be the club president.
The first season did have it's funny moments, but since I can relate to the topic of a city-person in a agriculture village I didn't find it realistic - or funny - enough.
Hoozuki no Reitetsu
Hoozuki aids King Enma, the king of Hell, solving various problems.
I liked the line from the promo: "What humans call Hell is normal for demons." Def. woth to check.
Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha
A shy, clumsy, everyday high-school girl, Fushimi Inari gets to have a wish, after she saves a fox of the kami from the near shrine.
Not sure what the wish is, but the character wants to be helpful for others, and at some sites there is a talk about some kind of transformation.
Maken-Ki! Two
New season after 2011 winter. Harem-anime.
Mahou Sensou / Magical Warfare
The main, Nanase Takashi is only away from the everyday normal life with being a fake couple with his childhood friend and his dark past. At last until he meets Aiba Mui, who turns him to a magician, and involves him in the war between magic users.
The trailer was really blank, giving nothing interesting from the story away, so I need to check the full episode before I can say anything about it.
Mikakunin de Shinkoukei
Kobeni Yonomi finds out on her 16th birthday that she is betrothed to Mitsumine Hakuya. He moves from the countryside with his little grade school sister to live together with Yonomi.
The trailer doesn't give much away again. Story is made from a 4 panel manga, and mostly every promotion stuff shows the 3 girls together, the guy is more of a shadow character.
Nobunagun
Ogura Shio visits Taiwan on a shool trip when she gets attacked by monsters. When she tries to save them it turns out that she is an E-Gene holder, who can wield a weapon infused with the spirit of a historical figure, Nobunaga Oda.
Actually I still don't get this Nobunaga as a girl type of anime. Also, the weapon is not a sword, as the title says it's a gun. For me the warning signs are blinking.
Noragami
Iki Hiyori is bullied in school, and calls a number found in the girls toilett. The call goes to a homeless person, who calls himself a God. He is not acknowledged as a kami, as he is unpredictable and crude, but he has just one power to cut down anyone who wants to pass the border between human world and the next.
Just after watching the promo, so eventful, I can even overlook the CG parts. Will def. check it out.
No-Rin
Hata Kosaku goes to an agricultural school, and is shocked when a new transfer student turns out to be his favourite idol, Kusakabe Yuka. Together with friends they try to figure out why she quit the showbusiness and get to know her more.
Nisekoi
Two rival yakuza gangs decides that their group will stop fighting against each other, and to seal the deal their heirs, Raku Ichijou and Kirisagi Chitoge will get enganged. Though the two hate the other, they need to play along for peace's sake.
Onee-chan ga Kita
The 13 year old Mizuhaya Tomoya gets a 17 year old step-sister when his father re-marries. The sister, Ichika seems to be more then charmed by the young little brother...
Gosh, it felt so wrong to write this down! T_T
Pupa
Story follows Hasegawa Utsutsu and Yume, a boy and his little sister who find themselves all alone. One day, Yume sees a mysterious red butterfly and her body undergoes a strange metamorphosis - into a creature that eats humans. Utsutsu struggles to find a way to restore his sister.
Just saw the picture on the homepage, and I want to watch it. *.*
Pupipo!
Wakaba sees ghosts, and keeps distance from others, still she meets the mysterious pink creature Pupipo.
Robot Girls Z
The story revolves around a new team of "Toei robot girls" named "Team Z" that is made up of three girls based on Toei's Mazinger Z franchise: Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, and UFO Robot Grendizer.
Space☆Dandy
Dandy is an alien hunter, full of confidence calling himself the dandiest man in space.
Probably full of epic fun. I'll check this series.
Sakura Trick
Haruka and Yuu are best friends in the same high-school. When they hear that the school will close in 3 years, they want to share something special and so they kiss...
The fact that this is a yuri surprised me a bit.
Tonari no Seki-kun
Seki-kun always creates little distractions that Yokoi finds drawn to, even though she always gets caught by the teacher.
Anime with the world "Tonari" seem to be a hit now. And they are usually funny and romantic.
Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga
Kanzaki Mitsuki gets possessed by the ghost of a young girl, Kotobuki Hiyori. She can only move to Heaven if she falls for Yuya, the step-brother of Mitsuki.
Why are these type of stories so popular? Marmalade boy is about a step-sibling relationship, but they were def. not looking for love in each other, it just happened. Here, forcing it with a ghost, who has a separate consciousness then Mitsuki... and with the knowledge that when all is said and done she will move on... I'm quite annoyed with just the trailer.
Saki: Zenkoku Hen
Sequel of the Saki series, about mahjong.
Sekai Seifuku: Bouryaku no Zvezda
A little girl, Hoshimiya Kate conqueres the world.
Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta
A prince without a country is on a journey full of revenge and hatred, but along the way finds people who teach him the importance of friendship and love.
Where have I heard this story before? Hm...
Youkai Watch
Some demons want to wrong humans, while other protect them.
Wake Up, Girls!
An entertaining company on the border of closing down creates an idol group as a last straw.
Witch Craft Works
Honoka Takamiya sits next to the most beautiful girl in school, but does not dare talk to her, as her fanclub always beats him up. But when a school building wall almost kills him it's this girl, Kagari who saves him in witch costume. She was actually sent to protect him.
Wizard Barristers: Benmashi Cecil
Humans and wizards live together. People are protected by police, but wizards are defended by wizard barristers. Cecil just became the youngest member, with a magical potential she is still not aware.
The graphic is like Kite, isn't it?

Z/X: Ignition
Five "Black Points" suddenly appeared around the world as portals to parallel worlds. Immediately after, strange creatures began their invasion from these portals. These creatures are the inhabitants of five worlds - the same worlds in different timeframes. In order to ensure their own future timeframe survives, each of the five invasion forces battle to wipe the other future timeframes out. The key is one card-shaped device.

Sword Art Online: Extra Edition - I really want to check the series out. My friends were giving it high praises, at last till the 18th episode.
