Reading in two evenings
Todays preparations for tomorrow's test made me remember the time when I learned to read hiragana/katakana in two evenings. Basically this is what happened:
I ordered some volumes of favourite manga in Japanese, and while by most due to translations I already knew the main story, I really wanted to read the whole story in the original language. So after work I sat by books, and by the 2nd day I could actually go by with what I remembered. Manga is really great, giving me enough drive to learn that in so little time. Or I'm just a fanatic. :)
Anyway, the reason I remembered it is that I'll have a test from a program use, and since I didn't have time before, today in just short 2 hours I tried to memorise everything. Not sure yet, but with some time tomorrow on the train, checking my notes might due the trick.
