Manga
Yesterday another part of my orders arrived. The last 3 volumes of the new edition of HanaKimi, the 10th volume of Kuragehime, and the 16th and 18th volume of Kimi ni Todoke.
HanaKimi:
The official title is Aizouban Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, and now I got volumes 10 to 12, till the end. What I really love in this new edition, just like by Sailor Moon it is with less volumes. I like it this way, more compact. :) Also the end of the 12th volume has the bonus with the marriage of Sekime. I think that's not part of the original volume, but I can be mistaken.
Kuragehime 10
While I loved the anime, with the manga I feel a bit betrayed. Or more like, it doesn't go how I expected. Kuranosuke dresses more and more like a girl, and by volume 10th he doesn't seem to have any scenes with Tsukimi.
I understand that this is a manga for ladies, and not little girls, but I am certainly NOT interested in how a few people create a new dress-collection. Not sure about others, but it's seriously not for me.
For some reason the volumes 3, and 9 can not be bought from normal source, and I'm not for ebay or amazon.
The last annoying part, the older brother. Actually I was quite happy that the manga began to take him on a new route with the lawyer. Not sure what happened, as I couldn't get my hands on the 9th volume, but in 10 he is actually going on a date-like thing with Tsukimi, while - as mentioned - Kuranosuke dresses as a girl and works on the business. I just don't understand.
Kimi ni Todoke 16 & 18
The ups and downs are natural in a relationship. After Sawako & Kazehaya got together it's just like watching a roller-coaster, or more like a ping-pong game, where I check one side, then turn to the other to see how they miss-interpret the others action. By volume 18th I actually thought the mangaka could finish it. The main pair is happy, Ayano has a boy-friend, Ryu actually gets with his hints somewhere, and papa-san accepts Kazehaya as Sawako's boyfriend.
But no. It still says continue. Knowing her style from Crazy for you I truly worry that this manga will end in drama. Like how Ryu will die, before Chie can accept his feelings. Oh, I hope with writing it down I'll jinx it into a happy end for all parties.
