2011 spring season: Deadman wonderland
Guys, on the meet, I was whining again where the good animes went~... and felt bad, that I only checked out Deadman wonderland now.
The story is an adaptation of the manga, which I read somewhere in the past... it made a big impact on me at that time~ just, like usual I forgot the title, and got surprised all over again while watching the anime with 'Ah, I know this!!!'. X3
So, just in short... 10 years ago a big earthquake hit Tokyo. Our main hero, Igarashi Ganta was one of the few, who survived. In the now he lives the normal life of a high-school boy, forgetting all about that incident... till some mysterious bloody creature randomly kills all of his classmates, and pushes a red crystal into his chest.
For some crazy reason, and as the only who survived, Ganta is declared the sole suspect and, following a suspiciously quick trial, is sentenced to life imprisonment in Deadman Wonderland, a massive theme-park-like prison.
The most important rule to know is the death sentence. Every prisoner needs to eat a candy once every 3 days, or they'll die... and the only way to get them is to take part in the deadly attractions - which entertain the outside world - and win there.
The characters... I'm not much for the whinny Ganga, and the mysterious Shiro, who is naive, and can come and go whenever she pleases annoys me a little... the 'lawyer' a LOT. ~~"
