Shinagawa Daichi is the number 1 delinquent, only causing trouble at school. Adachi Hana is the class-president, at first glance responsible and intelligent, but in real a formally yankee. She was held back in middle school for a year, and doesn't want for Shinagawa to suffer the same she did. She wants to make high-school as enjoyable for them as possible.
Waiting for the drama, I thought to check out the original manga. It was a bit weird, how the graphic differs though the chapters. It's not about getting better, but more like some were drawn by someone else. But don't bother, these are just my thoughts.
Reading this much into the story, at first I thought Adachi Hana is a stupid and bothersome character. While at first it seems she wants to help, at the end of the chapters she ignores the poor guy, who went though hell cause of her idiocy and selfishness. But later it turns out, she is caring - even if stupid and lazy - who just has a hard time talking with 'normal' characters.
Shinagawa's character though was likable from the start, going all hard guy on the outside, but can never leave Adachi to her stupidity, and later even enjoying their outgoings. :)
The story at first is how Adachi wants to make Shinagawa do more and more things at school, to make him realize that if you're not alone, school can be fun. Mostly it's the guy then, who saves the day, helping to hide the fact that Adachi Hana was a delinquent herself. Later more characters come to the unique pair.
Found the random change of the story at some parts strange. At the end of the 1st volume there is a new character, Chiba-kun, who hasn't gone to school for months now, and Adachi wants the help of Shinagawa to call him back to class, visiting Chiba-kun at home, and eating his mother's food.... to cut of the story randomly in the 2nd volume, only to pick it back up in the middle of the 3rd volume. @_@
