Well, this weekend was for the dogs again...
First of all, I'm glad to tell to those, who were worried, that I'm feeling better after Friday. So no matter, if it was a bug, or maybe an overdose of Vitamin C, I'm over it.
Thanks to that I went to shopping on Saturday. Bought some little stuff for my Mom's birthday. We plan to buy something together with my brother, but a little something next to it will not hurt. Or I just simply will give it to her on Xmas. XD Oh! And I bought an air fresher, thought to try out this Ambi Pur brand. Only as I got home did I realize, that the seller didn't put it on the bill. So that's why I thought I payed so little! - I thought. X3
Next to that I bought tickets for the operetta, to go with my mom in December. Since I had two extra, I gave them to Minami and Luluko. Hehehe, they seemed quite surprised that I just gave them off... X3
Bought two Poirot dvd's again... but to tell the truth, they were all a disappointment. ~~"
Wasps Nest was the worst of all. Poirot just tricked an old friend of his, to ruin his desperate plan, and then say with a smile "you my friend, will only stay a killer deep in your mind..." Oh, please. ~~"
The Plymouth Express I already read. To tell the truth the book was so much better. Not only did they re-think the story - and make the case closing unbelievable - but even the acting was lame. Like the actors actually know what a bull they were playing.
Hercule Poirot's Christmas was a story I think I already saw in the series Murder, she wrote... Even if this wants to be a complicated story, and I know that it's just a tv series, so they have a time limit for everything, but this time Murder, she wrote actually wins over Poirot.
Sunday I had a sleep-in day again. Then I woke up to Zeus cuddling into my stomach. It was so sweet, made me all happy. ^^ In other news Yuuki and Xira seem to have a competition going on for the attention of Zeus... and I guess, us. They don't seem to realize that with Zeus... well, that he can't really answer their expectations. ^^" But it's good to see that they seem to have come to an agreement, and play together just for the fun of it. It's another cute scene to watch. ^^
Then for the day we saw The Count of Monte Cristo and The Man in the Iron Mask, both with Richard Chamberlain as the main. This guy is really ideal for the main character in Dumas dramas. XD To tell the truth though, I can't take the Iron Mask serious as a film.
The Count of Monte Christo - while shorter than the other remake of the Dumas story - has it's good points. For example here is a scene where Dantes learns from his friend in the prison while they dig, and how he thinks about who actually got him to the castle of If. Here the father of Dantes died of hunger... in the other the owner of the ship Edward was 2nd in command helped his father to have at last a normal life. Then the character of Cadrus (hope I wrote that one right) here is a young stealer - in the other an older snoop guy. Little things like that can make a lot of difference in a story if they come together.
