What happened in 2021

Dec 31, 2021 12:42

Happy New Year Everyone! Hope that you are all doing fine and have a peaceful and fun time into the new year.
Here is my usual review of the year 2021.

Dogs
My 3 dogs Wendy, Vándor and Uno are doing fine. We just had their Vaccination against rabies yesterday, so I could relax that I can take Vándor out on her walks in the new year too.
Vándor has an eye operation planned for the middle of January.

Bad experience
Nothing big comes to mind, it's just the eye of Vándor that didn't want to heal and needs the operation.
Also, it's more bothersome than anything, but because of dropping my smartphone in an unlucky way I might need to buy another one. I have this one since 2016 so I'm sad that I couldn't take care of it better.

Confused
Nothing really.

Surreal
Maybe the antigen tests I needed to take for my travels... >.>"

Made my World
This year next to Hungary I went to a few other countries - some places re-visited, some were a personal goal so yeey for that.

Home
Our goal for this year was the garden again: modify the Japanese style part and create a place for hens to keep. This second part turned real in May, we got our first egg at the start of August and currently have 6 chickens that give an average of 4 eggs a day.

Health
Nothing major. The part about having a guarantee on ones body, and feeling it ending is still an issue for me. This year I lost a few kilos, some as part of running around Europe, and some slow and gradually. I like the result of the second better, because while it's really slow, it's part of the result of changing my lifestyle.

Travel
Vácrátót botanical garden
Veresegyház - trip to the town, cause of it's animal market for the hens
Budapest - Margaret island - had a team building here with the goal of moving our bodies to combat covid kilos. The bike carriage was fun. ^^
Somogy - is a region of Hungary, went there with a friend on a 2-day trip with a travel agency. The trip included Somogyvár, Kaposvár, Szenna, Szelici starpark, Ropolyi-lake, Deseda lake, Bőszénfa deer-farm, Andocs, Balatonboglár.
Palóc - this is an ethnic group in Hungary, basically again can be counted as a region of Hungary. Wanted to go with my friend again, however she missed the bus, so I was alone for the trip. The places visited were Somoskő, Ipolytarnóc, Szécsény - place of my high school years - and Hollókő.
France - first big trip out of the country since the epidemic started. Went there with my friend Betti, because we were there for an X Japan concert, and wanted to re-visit after 10 years.
We were in Reims, Versailles, Paris, Chambord, Chenonceaux, Ambroise, Fontenay, Dijon, Beaune, Colmar, Strasbourg, Riquewihr. What I liked best here? Reims. When we arrived it was raining, and the gargoyles of the Cathedral were spitting water. It looked awesome. *.*
Törökszentmiklós - my Mom went there for a folk-art seminar, and while she was there I visited the town. It was quite charming, and can still laugh about the uncle at the market who sold me candied ginger with the slogan of it being good against covid. ^^
Vác - yes, it's my hometown. Still sometimes it's good to be a tourist in your own place. I went around both places I knew and that I never visited. Thanks to that we got to know that the Tourinform agency was planning for a twilight tour
Twilight tour: Vác & Naszály - the tour started with a Ferris wheel ride by the Danube, then had a bus sightseeing around Vác and at the end went up to the Naszály mountain to enjoy the night view and have some refreshments. For me the top was Naszály - even though I lived in Vác all my life, I was never on Naszály. For my Mom the speciality was that our host was a neighbour from the past.
Northern Italy - second big trip out of the country. Again with Betti and the same travel agency.
We were in Padova, Verona, Mantova, Garda lake (Sirmione, Malcesine, Limone, Riva Del Garda), Milano, Como lake, Como, Maggiore lake, Borromeo islands (Isola Bella, Isola dei Pescatori) Stresa, Macugnaga, Monte Rosa, Orta lake, Bergamo, Iseo lake, Vicenza. Best part here, Milano. One of the reasons was that we were able to walk on roof ridge of the Cathedral. But the major point was the Leonardo da Vinci Museum we visited in our free time. This gave me such a nostalgia for my childhood, I was giddy for days. ^.^
Tata - visited the educational trail - the turtle were so cute! - and the Eszterházy castle.
Gödöllő - there were some interesting outdoor exhibitions, but we also visited the castle. Thanks to that we got to know that there is an actual stage play written for this place, and that they play in the castle theatre.
Szentendre Skanzen - the open-air museum with the different village and house styles and presenting traditions and folk art. Cool place, can def. recommend it.
Budapest zoo - I try to visit it at last once a year.
Greece - the third and final big trip out of the country.
We visited the Tempe valley, Strait of Thermopylae, Athen, Sunion, the islands Hydra - Poros - Aegina, Corinth Canal, Epidauros, Nafplion, Mukene, Olympia, Delphoi, Meteoras, Thessaloniki and the Olympus. Best part for me was Hydra.

Fun
Nothing major again.

Anime
Cheat Kusushi - I know the manga, but this was a let down as a remake for me.
Digimon Adventure - re-make of the first series. I tried it, but it feels for me like it's teeth is pulled out.
Hamehura X - new season, new characters and dark magic. I'm still enjoying this one.
Isekai Shokudou 2 - second season of fantasy creatures eating our words food in a restaurant.
Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara
Komi-san wa, Komyushou Desu - a cute high school story about a shy girl, Komi-san who wants to have 100 friends. A bit like Kimi ni Todoke, but less dramatic and more pun-like - at last with the names. What I find annoying is the writing. In a manga I can accept it, but in anime I don't want to try to read it, even though I understand that her character communicates like that. It is good to have an anime from this, cause there is some communication and movement, but I still like the manga better. Note: one of my " reading" post this year includes this one.
Kumo desu ga, nani ka? - def. great to have the anime, though I don't like the CG battle style, makes me think I'm watching a fighting battle game.
Obey Me! - because I played the game on my smartphone I wanted to watch it, and yes, it's reverse harem, but I just couldn't get myself to endure it. It's not good.
Shinka no Mi - Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei - remake from the manga / novel again. Isekai, with a week to strong, not as tragic as Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou, but still with harem and an overpowered main.
Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou Desu - re-make of light novel and manga. This is a simple story in itself. The anime made it so much more simple, that it's stupid. And the main is a grown woman!!!
Tensura Nikki Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken - new season, new adventure, town building and politics.
Tenchi Souzou Design Bu - Heaven's Animal Design Department
Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu - again a disappointing remake from the manga.
Watashi ga Motete Dou Sunda

It surprised me a little that I haven't seen more this year - but it's probably due to my travels.

Youtube
Due to the chanel Minori / Minicuteclub I started a diamond painting myself.
From drag next to Trixie Mattel, the series UNHhhh with Katya & Trixie I saw some James Mansfield videos.
Oh, also recently Youtube recommended me a channel for Sudoku, called Cracking  the Cryptic.

Games
Obey Me! One Master to Rule Them All - after the last update my smartphone was not qualified enough to play with it, so I moved to another game.
Dragon City - just recently started with this on smartphone. It's annoying how much it wants to go for money, but I just need something to play. T_T
Don't starve together - still playing it.
Reus - a good God-control game, still playing
Graveyard Keeper - really entertaining game, already started the 3rd time to finish it.
Stardew Valley - Started with a new character again.
Banished - town building game, recently started. Not bad and I quickly got the hang of it.
Antihero - played with this shortly. Not bad, but you can quickly get though the whole game.

Stage play
As mentioned before, we saw a play that was written for the palace in Gödöllő, translated it would be something like "Those who want to see".
The other play we saw was Die Sternstunde des Josef Bieder by Ebherhard Streul - Parti Nagy Lajos. Mostly we went because the monologue was played by a really famous Hungarian actor/writer/comedian András Kern. He was really good!
